View Full Version : Chiefs We're not there yet!

Hey all, yes alcohol is talking a bit, but we just aren't there yet. No WRs, No O-line, No run stopping anything.

A few weeks ago I posted who can beat the Chiefs. Unfortunately that answer is everyone we've played since lol! We were all riding high despite the injuries, and even motivation, home field, and red on red can't will ourselves to a win against a top flight team in this league just yet.

It sucks now and it will suck later, but I don't think coaching or the way the organization is ran is the problem. I predicted 5-11 when this whole shindig started. I was foolish to believe "Motivation" was a factor.

It comes down to simple lack of talent, and it caught up with us. Hopefully we can retool next year. I really wanted this one tonight. More than most probably, but we aren't there yet when I wholly believed we were.

What are your thought on this idea?

They are at best three years away from being capable of winning a playoff game if they hit on every pick this year and the next two after that.

Of course we're not there yet. Why didn't we do anything in the offseason to upgrade our obvious weaknesses? That's the question we should be asking.

It will take more than one year to fix the holes in this heap of rubbish. I think the scouts should be fired ASAP. Whomever is responsible for the "talent" at receiver and the offensive line is clueless. Maybe it's one guy who does it all, I really don't know, but if it is a group, it needs to be overhauled.

Let me know when Manning retires. Then we can discuss getting "there".

In 3 years we will be still saying the Chiefs are in rebuilding. There is some fundamentally wrong with this franchise and the only consistent thing has been ownership.

Better hope Derek Carr sucks ass with that mindset because the division isn't going to get any worse..

We will never be there with Alex at QB.

I can't believe I let him fool me into a three-week fling.

I'm getting tested.

There will be another HOF-caliber QB waiting to torment the Chiefs after Manning.

This franchise… to add insult to the injury of never being able to draft a franchise QB… is a magnet for being a bitch to HOF QB's.

Elway tormented this franchise like few others.

Marino owned the Chiefs.

Manning has owned the Chiefs.

Step on down Andrew Luck…

Denver had about 15 years between Elway's retirement and Manning's signing.

Here's the problem: hey had more success than the Chiefs did during that interim. Won more playoff games regardless of whether it was Tebow, Plummer or whoever. We didn't win shit during that time. They're just a better run franchise. It's not all about Manning.

Besides, even when Peyton retires, then Rivers still has enough prime left to win this division every year.

There's a good chance they'll be good just before the decade ends.

I mean there's no way a team can go 25 years without a playoff win..

Tim Tebow has won a playoff game for the Broncos. Stew on that shit for a while :(.

We didn't have money, unless you don't want to keep superstars like Houston.
And we upgraded obvious weaknesses. Just not the weaknesses you wanted them to fix. The Chiefs' D-line and secondary are miles ahead of last year and that's even though they were really banged up.

The whiffs on first rounders are inexcusable. But as much as we bitch about the o-line and WRs, this team needed help everywhere.

This team is just extremely young and that is the main problem. The OL is a work in progress but I Dorsey definitely fugged up by not getting a WR in the draft.

Apathy setting in.

Already there.

Dorsey's approach in the offseason is very much like Pioli's was. Only a better person to be around.

The biggest difference between Denver and KC is Denver's willing to try anything, or do anything, to win a SB...
