Go ahead and argue with the rulebook instead. A WR attempting to make a catch (or one who hasn't had time to change his body posture after the catch in such a way that he can protect himself) is considered defenseless. You can't hit them in the head. Even with your shoulder. Read it for yourselves. You're wrong.

A fixed league would never survive long doing stuff like that.

All that it takes is one official per game to call one penalty/ball spot at an important juncture to nudge it one way or another.

No, you blew it off. And I already answered your question, Sparky. It was the correct call because their job is to call what they think they see. The action was quick and violent enough to lead them to the conclusion that it was helmet to helmet. And, once again, on further review it was an illegal hit. They did their job.

TripleThreat

The action was quick and violent enough to lead them to the conclusion that it was helmet to helmet. And, once again, on further review it was an illegal hit. They did their job.

So if a player does illegal contact after 5 yards.. Isn't called for it, 4 seconds later, he is called for pass interference on a completely different player (same play), After further review there was no PI but the call stands, and it was the wrong call 100% just like there was no helmet to helmet. You support the PI call because the illegal contact happened 4 seconds prior to the Pass interference call? (This is given both the PI and the Illegal contact are the same form of punishment in terms of yards)

The above is exactly what you are saying when given in a different form of an example of what happened.

So again you support incorrect calls as long as there was an instance on the same play where the correct call could've been made..

Needless to say in other words, You would support a incorrect PI called on the right side of the field, as LONG as there was a PI on the left side of the field that the ref's missed, that should've been the correct call but they didn't see it.

Since I know your a idiot, I think the underlined example will be easier for you to understand than the other stuff above it.

What I am saying is that if the refs call helmet to helmet on a brutal hit because that's what it looked like, and it turns out to be shoulder to helmet on a defenseless receiver, and the game is affected identically by either call, then they are doing their jobs correctly. I'm not sure how much more I can dumb this down for you Sparky.
