Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reports a "couple of sources" reiterated that Rex Ryan to the Falcons as their head coach "seems natural."
This isn't the first we've seen a Rex-to-Atlanta rumor. Ryan interviewed for the head-coaching job that Mike Smith eventually got in 2008. Now, Smith is likely out. The Falcons recently made the switch to a 3-4 defense. While the offense is in fine shape only needing a piece or two, the defense needs an overhaul. Nobody has ever doubted Ryan's coaching ability. He just needs to find the right guy to run the offense. Cole reports the Falcons would try to keep OC Dirk Koetter on staff. Dec 19 - 11:23

Wow. That makes zero sense to me.

Of course.....nothing about the NFL makes any sense to me any longer.

Rex is actually a pretty good head coach. Would be a better defensive coordinator

The Raiders are absolutely STUPID, for not at least bringing Rex in for an interview. It's like they're avoiding him. To me they are a good fit for each other. Instead they may keep Sporano, or hire Mangini. Wtf?!!? I guess Faids are gonna Faids.

Why do they need Ryan? They have Harbaugh.
