Fortunately, individual games don't really matter much in college basketball, unlike College Football. Win in the tournament(s) and everything is fine.

Kansas is top 10 in the kenpom rankings and is 5-1 against teams in the top 50 which represents the #8 toughest schedule currently in the RPI.

They lost to Kentucky in the 2nd game of the season with 4 new players after losing 2 of the top 3 picks in the NBA draft. (Kentucky did not have a player picked until 7).

Could Kansas beat Kentucky now? Hard to tell but it would obviously be a much different result and will be different again come the NCAA Tournament.

To compare UCLA to a team like Kansas makes no sense at all.

A better comparison would be a to a team like Missouri. Missouri is currently ranked about 186 in the Sagarin poll. This is much worse than the darkest days of Turner Gill's KU Football teams which many here never thought was possible.

Missouri Basketball is going to have a difficult time beating anyone even in a terrible conference like the SEC. Kentucky could probably play the JV/walk on team and beat Missouri by 50.

It's uncomfortable to watch a program attempt to compete like the Tigers so I have sent my condolences to many of my mizzou friends and most are extremely upset about the state of affairs in Columbia. Patience will help, keep your head up I tell them.

I'm not going to sit around and make arguments about it. BCS games are bigger than conf championship games. It's not some kind of insult or anything.

If KU or MU ever makes a playoff games it will get much higher rating than KU's BCS game no doubt.

No, you actually don't stand corrected. Click the link to the Orange Bowl that the little doe himself used. This guy can't help but just lie through his teeth. Here...I'll paste the first paragraph:

The 2008 FedEx Orange Bowl was a post-season college football bowl game between the Virginia Tech Hokies and the Kansas Jayhawks on January 3, 2008, at Dolphin Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Spread bettors favored Virginia Tech by three points, but in a game dominated by defensive and special teams play, Kansas defeated Virginia Tech 24–21. The game was part of the 2007–2008 Bowl Championship Series (BCS) of the 2007 NCAA Division I FBS football season and was the concluding game of the season for both teams. This 74th edition of the Orange Bowl was televised in the United States on FOX and was watched by more than eight million viewers.

Of course Texas isn't interested. BYU has crushed them 81-28 the past two seasons. Like UCF, they're a mediocre school that looks like the 1972 Dolphins when matched up against the best programs the Big 12 has to offer.

The last thing Texas needs is yet another parochial school to embarrass them. Those types outscored Texas this year alone by a combined score of 117-24.

It's already happened. You're now sitting in a borderline mid-major conference that is trying to figure out if it should add teams like Memphis, Colorado State, and Southern Florida.

The mid major conferences have a revenue of $221 million?

Pretty impressive, eh?

Up 4 - 3.8 seconds left in regulation, and we lose.

Unfortunately we are stuck with Bruce for another season and a half.

I had to watch the clip about 5x. That was....stunning.

There's a reason why collegiate attendance at CFB games is at an all time low. The only people that care about it are middle aged pedophiles who can't seem to get over their obsession with 20 year old boys. How pathetic.

The entire bowl system is a waste of time. Complete. How many bowl games do we endure each year that involve teams with losing conference records and coaches who've already been fired? If you fired your coach, you've admitted you had a poor season. Why even go to a bowl game?

There should be a way for the top-25 teams to play a post-season bowl game. Make it 25 +1, and let actual legitimate ranked teams play. If you didn't end up ranked, GTFO and quit wasting our time and clogging up SportsCenter highlights.
