Priest31kc
12-28-2014, 04:56 PM
Fun stuff:
-The Patriots MNF beatdown right before the Royals epic Wild Card win. Also broke the sound record that game.
-The Seattle win. That was fun.
-Houston's 4 sack game to break DT's record & finish with 22. Hell of a season. Knocking the Chargers out of the playoffs is awesome too.
-Kelce's coming out season. I expected him to be good, but not this good.
-Another year of watching Jamaal Charles' brilliance. Hurt all year, but was still amazing. Passed Priest as the all-time leading rusher in Chiefs history. Amazing player.
-Overall, the defense was really good again. And it was refreshing to see us finish #2 against the pass, and we didn't give up a 50 yard play, a 300 yard passer or 30 points in a game all season. And this was w/out DJ, Berry, DeVito, etc..

Bad stuff:
- No WR TDs. That's just incredible. It was a combination of bad WRs, bad O-Line & Alex Smith. But yeah, we need atleast 3 new WRs. Get rid of Avery, Hemingway, Jenkins & Hammond. Bowe might be gone too.
- O-Line was terrible. Didn't think it would be this bad. Hudson was good, but everyone else sucked. Had a terrible feeling about Fisher when we picked him...and my feels were right so far. Total bust after 2 seasons.
- Alex Smith is who I and most thought he was. His WRs & O-Line were not very good yes, but Alex showed again that he can't make others better and needs everything around him to go perfectly for him to succeed. Typical Chiefs signing him to a long-term deal, so now we're stuck with him for another 2 years atleast.
- Run D. I put alot of the blame on the injuries to DJ, DeVito & Berry, but it was pretty bad for most of the season. It got a little better when Mays returned to the starting lineup in place of JMJ. Also, the overuse of Poe I think really hurt him against the run. Also think we sacrificed run D for pass D this year scheme wise. Abdullah & Parker are good in coverage, but shitty against the run. Missed a healthy Berry.

Overall, another average, mediocre 9-7 season for the Chiefs. It hurts more because we choked the playoffs away with another 2nd half collapse. Going from 7-3 to 9-7 and missing the playoffs just sucks.

The Oakland loss was the killer. Losing to the Titans in the home opener was unacceptable too. That game was an awful way to begin a season. The Cardinals & Steelers losses hurt, blew those games. And the Denver loss at home on SNF was like a punch in the gut to me. Embarrassing loss and showed we were pretenders again.

I said 8-8 before the season, and expected worse after starting 0-2 & losing DJ & Devito for the season. Then we got hot for awhile, which was fun. As usual, I bought in and in typical Chiefs fashion, we collapsed and I was sad. Just like last season and just like the epic playoff loss. Life as a Chiefs fan is hard.

The Pats win was flashier... won by more, national night game etc... but I'd have to go with the Seattle win, gutted one out against an extremely dangerous Champion.

It was either that win, or the beautiful spiraling toss that seemed to arc to the Heavens that Smith tossed to Bowe in the endzone for the game winner... and then I woke up, damn that was a great dream.

Andy Reid's criminal misuse of Jamaal Charles and the rest of the backs.

Andy Reid's hilarious mismanagement of the clock.

Andy Reid's Jekyll and Hyde playcalling.

Andy Reid telling us every single week that he takes full responsibility, knows what he needs to do a better job at, and then utterly fails to do anything better.

How about calling so many fucking passes behind a completely inept line that his QB averages being sacked 3 times a game, who knows how many hits/tackles he takes, and gets his season ended with an injury that had the potential to endanger his very life. Offensive Genius at work folks.

The absolute best? The offense run by an absolute passing FANATIC, completely and UTTERLY FAILS TO RECORD A SINGLE TD TO ANY WIDE RECEIVER ON THE ****ING ROSTER. The ultimate indictment against Reid and Smith.

And **** You, Andy Reid for saying that shit you said to the players postgame. How every game means something, and you absolutely cant let anything slide, and to remember how they feel right now in failure to make the playoffs.

YOURE THE BIGGEST ****ING REASON THEY ARENT IN THE PLAYOFFS. You take full responsibility, remember? You need to do a better job, remember?

Yet there will be no consequences for your stupidity, because Clark Hunt cant stop fapping to two "winning seasons" in a row. 9-7 is ****ing terrible. That's like getting a D- on the final and being proud of it. Yeah, you were a shade above failure. Great ****ing job.

Funny: The review on Bowe's TD.....handing it over to Kelce....goose egg for WRs!

Sad: The two times (I can remember) that Smith actually threw it more than 30 yards - one was a jump ball that we actually completed....and the other was a wide open WR that he overthrew both long and wide.
