Taylor Negron, an actor and comedian familiar to fans of the 1980s’ comedy "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," died of cancer Saturday. He was 57.

His cousin, former Three Dog Night musician Chuck Negron, made the announcement in an emotional video posted on YouTube.

Negron memorably played the pizza guy in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," which was released in 1982. A year later, he played the son-in-law of Rodney Dangerfield's character in the comedy "Easy Money."

His other movie credits included "The Last Boy Scout," "Stuart Little" and "Angels in the Outfield." Negron also had roles in many TV series, such as "Seinfeld," "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "The Hughleys," and wrote that he enjoyed being what he called "fame-ish."

"I look at my alternative everyman predicament this way. By letting go of what you thought was going to happen in your life, you can enjoy what is actually happening," he wrote in an essay for XOJane. "That is what I do. I'm That Guy."

It's so weird. Last Boy Scout was on a week or two ago, and I saw him and googled him. it seemed, in the early 90s, he was in everything, then just disappeared.

One of a handful who got their start on The Dating Game. Fairly notorious, if that's the right word, in the stone [analog] age as the guy who always lost on the show yet kept coming back.

For a pretty good convo with a working actor, check out his discussion of his career with Jay Mohr on Mohr Stories.
