This is pretty much it. But couldn't we at least play the Yankee's on Sunday night?

Or beat the crap out of Baltimore again?

If they make the playoffs again this year, that'll change. It'll prove it wasn't a fluke.

Tell you what guys... I've been working in KC and Lee's Summit a lot recently and I make a point to drive by the stadium each time I'm there. I've seen a lot of people taking pride in them again. Royals gear is everywhere.
I hope it keeps going like this. Makes the team some seriously needed $$$ for payroll.
I'd love to see them in the mix every year. Hopefully they do well this year. I'd love them to fuck Baltimore's shit up again. They're now my second most hated team, right behind the Yanks.

Yes, and the first 4 weeks are announced but nothing after that. They do change those games around you know?

I was just getting ready to say I think they only announced until May 3rd.

That being said in 5 weeks we have...

Yankees 3 times
Boston twice
Cards twice

April 12th: Red Sox & Yankees instead of Royals-Angels playoff re-match
April 19th: Reds @ Cards instead of Royals A's re-match
May 3rd: Yankees @ Red Sox, you know, in case you missed the game on the 12th :spock:

I am of the opinion that the Red Sox & Yankees can go fuck each other 162 times in the summer and the rest of the league can play baseball

Is Pete actually arguing for Royals/Angels over Redsox/Yankees?

Is Pete actually arguing for Royals/Angels over Redsox/Yankees?

Yeah, because, you know, we don't see Red Sox/Yankees on ESPN 27 times a season or anything.

I just think it's disrespectful to both us and the Giants. You'd think the 2 teams in the WS would get on Sunday night fairly early in the season. Instead we get what, 6 teams in 10 games? 2 of the games with 2 of the same teams and 2 of the teams from New York?

I just think there was a little room there for some other teams. Royals or others.

I have always wondered why people get all butt hurt over national sports schedules.

Nope. I prefer Saturday night then Sunday day games anyway. Makes it easier for me to see two games and then drive 2 1/2 hours home afterward a couple of times a year.
REALLY would rather see Friday night followed by Saturday noon, but that only seems to happen once every blue moon.

The World Champions got screwed as well. Besides ESPN picks up better matchups as the season goes on. FOX and FS1 does a pretty decent job picking for the Saturday Games.

That's the thing here. Seriously the Red Sox and Yankees will be on at least 4 times per - I'd bet money on it right now w/o looking.

The schedule's not set in stone. Remember last year we had that game against the Indians moved to Sunday night late in the year.

ESPN starts rotating teams into Sunday night at around late May I think, so only the first month and a half are booked. If we're winning, then we'll get one.

Oh really? That's interesting - so that'd change the Royals' schedule etc etc? so what happens in the even there are customers/fans committed to going to said game - just a rain-check - I guess what I'm asking is; they can shift game from the afternoon to the night game as a regular thing? Seems I remember some game time adjustments due to other reasons, but not for the fact that a team got hot. Am I misunderstanding something? PS - not being a wise-guy. srs question...

No raincheck. Your ticket would be for the night game in that case. I'm sure there's legalese on it saying that they have the right to change the game time on you, blah blah blah. If you can't go, then you'd probably have to sell the ticket, you wouldn't have a problem finding an eager buyer for something as high-profile as Sunday Night Baseball unless your seats were really terrible.

Its not something we're used to because we've been bad for so many years, but for good teams, it happens. I actually had a ticket for the home ESPN Sunday Night baseball game last year, we knew about 2 weeks in advance that it changed, I think.

Good. I don't pay for cable anymore but do get the MLB.TV package. It would be blacked out if they played sunday nights.

Oh okay - yes no doubt - I absolutely do remember these shifts happening - but I always thought it was for things like double-headers or previous meeting rainouts yada yadda, but okay - yeah that's cool to know - Ty for the information Al.

No. It's not exactly MNF.
I love the Royals, maybe I should care about Sunday night games, but I just don't.
