We play up at the Athletic Club in Overland Park a lot. You have to have a membership there, but if you're into it it's worth it.

Mr. Plow sucks at Table-Tennis.

Yes, he does.

I'm pretty awesome at it, especially after 10 beers and with one in my hand at all times (of course).

I have a buddy that's at this level in pong. Until I take away his fancy massive paddle and make him play with one of the old school wooden paddles with some worn out rubber. Then he is just as bad as the rest of us.

Yeah, the equipment can make a big difference, but I would think he'd still be better than avg. if he's using correct technique.

Where does he play? Think he'd be interested in some competition?

I have a weird inside-out forehand.

That can be very effective if used appropriately.

I'm better than average, not Chinese or anything but decent. Also, ping pong is one of three activities at which I am ambidextrous. I can also bat lefty.

Im really good if everybody is forced to play with the regular paddles, without the rubber surface. I think the rubber paddles are bullshit. Makes it more about spin and trickery. I dont like it god damn it. If you try to hit a ping pong ball from someone putting a crazy amt of spin on it from a rubber paddle with a regular paddle it will just richochet off any which direction

It's hard to get a handle on, but once you do it gives you an entire new arsenal of weapons.
