It's a McDonald's campaign, right now, where instead of paying with money, employees will randomly select customers who will draw an instruction out of a box and make them enact that instruction rather than paying for food.

Sometimes people will have to dance, or write a poem, or declare who they love in leiu of having to cough up cash for a Big Mac.

I've kicked fast food, so I can't partake. But I want to know what your experiences have been.

Is this why that woman behind the counter yesterday offered me an apple pie to show my genitals?

McDonald's doesn't get it.

Their competitive advantage when they were successful was convenience, price and consistent quality.

If they work on getting back to these core competitive advantages… clean up their stores, better train their employees, improve getting people's food out quickly and correctly, etc. they'll be fine.

They will never be able to compete directly with the likes of Chipoltle, Shake Shack, etc.
