Hey all. Mann Law Offices of Hutchinson, Kansas will be donating $3 to my organization (the Open World Cause) for every new facebook like they receive over the next month.

I started the Open World Cause as a senior in high school. During my senior year, we raised $5,700 to send two laptops and internet access to a rural school in Nepal (known as the SAV School). Since that time, we've expanded into a student organization at KU that has helped provide clean water to deserving Nepali communities (through a partnered organization known as Project Purus). Last year, we were able to raise $6,600 to help build a new school for students without access to an education in the Narayanpur district in Nepal.

This summer, we hope to travel to Narayanpur to volunteer inside classrooms at the newly constructed school and do on the ground research into providing TB vaccinations and expanding our public health outreach to Narayanpur and other communities throughout Nepal. Any way you could support us here would be incredible. :)

Which link should I be donating to? I suppose the travel fund is completely separate?

If you're in need of a tax deduction, I would recommend donating to the "classroom" fund. All donations toward the classroom are sent to our non-profit partner, the Foundation of Leadership and Learning, a subsidiary of ESSDACK -> https://essdack.org/

The travel fund (the gofundme link) goes to our own personal accounts, therefore it wouldn't be tax deductable. The reason for the delineation is that our contact at the foundation wanted to make sure it was crystal clear about which contributions were going toward the classroom and which were going to our plane tickets/travel fees.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

You need to get Marty involved, if possible.

That's a phenomenal idea, do you think I should just send him a PM?
