I think it has to do with lack of bile in your stool. Not a doctor or anything, and could be way off base, but I think your food is being digested too quickly and not being processed as thoroughly as it should. Or it could just be something you ate.

I nearly keeled over when I had a olive drab crap; straight Army green. Turns out it was from drinking a heavily purple dyed beer.

If it is grey or white on a consistent basis he needs to see a doctor ASAP! This can range from eating too many Tums to pancreatic cancer. Most likely it's a liver related issue or gall bladder. But it can be pancreatic cancer and it should be checked immediately. PC is nothing to fuck around with.
