Art Briles has system QBs who excel in college and suck in the pros. Keenum, RGIII, and now Petty.

Tedford QBs never succeed in the NFL.

System QB. Remember the spread offense has even made the likes of Matt fucking Cassel look elite.

Thing is, I think there's a lot of guys with some real talent that have been in non-NFL friendly systems, that have been ruined by being trotted onto the field too soon.

They not only have to work on and think about their mechanics, but learn to work through their progressions under pressure.

Give them a year or 2 to adjust, and I think we'd see more successes.

No one can justify giving a prospect the Aaron Rodgers treatment because over half the league doesn't have anywhere near a Brett Favre at the top of the depth chart to keep the seat warm.

If I'm an owner or a GM, I don't give a rat's ass about justifying it to the fans.

If I believe that that time is needed for development, then I take that time.

Too old. No chance of playing till he is 28.

Do you refer as players being decapitated when they get a concussion too?

I just can't get enthused by a QB that is not considered worthy of a top of the 1st round. A 3rd round QB is just another QB that the fans will pine to get a chance that never will. I hope we don't draft a QB unless it is Winston.

So if he's a franchise QB you say no? You'd get 10 great years instead of 14? Idiot reasoning.

He plays in a gimmick system in a league full of teams that run gimmick systems. He could be the best QB ever to come out of the Big 12 and still be below average.

There's a first time for everything, but that isn't a sound strategy. Third round? Sure. No sooner, though.

You need to get your sarcasm meter calibrated. Either that or pull your head out of your ass.
