Wouldn't Sophia's education be a whole lot better if she were exposed to ALL theories in Science Class, instead of just the scientific ones?

Yeah I had seen it. It's kinda amazing what's out there. I see lots of really cool stuff in the sky and through the camera. One thing about space is that there are things out there we don't even have questions for yet, let alone answers.

This....

You should read her writing. It's absolutely amazing. I proofed her essay to the Space Club and I told her I wouldn't change a word. Then I told her if anyone beats this essay, college or no, I want to read what they wrote because it would have to be unbelievably good.

The funny thing is she attends a religious school where the principle teaches geocentrism to his children.

Not going to lie, she sounds like a very impressive student with some great aspirations. Wouldn't be surprised to see her name in the future doing something very important for humanity.

Glad you could assist her, Dave.

Wow, no need for any of that in this thread Sir...

Actually that was a mistake. I posted on the thread I searched for in the link instead of the intended one in DC. I'll delete and if you can please delete the quote and save my butt for not being more careful.

She got her award today and texted me about how many brigadier generals, fighter pilots, astronauts and NASA people she met. Lockheed Martin offered her a internship, she met the Director of of the Space Telescope Institute which is in charge of Hubble and the James Webb telescope. Tomorrow she gets a private tour of the West Wing of the White House with several of the above in attendance.

Good times for a 17 year old.

I live in an area in which we get nearly perfect view of the Milky Way "belt". You got a taste of that up in Buehler's area.

Some summer nights are simply spectacular.
