Sweet! If Oakland lands Suh the Chiefs get to play against him twice a year. Oaktown is going to be spending some big $$$ this offseason. I've read they may have up to 80 million to spend and they have to spend it all.

Me thinks they will break the bank for this guy and still have lots of money left over.

"When it comes to a contest between the Raiders and the Dolphins, Ross has ultimate ace in the hole — the absence of state income taxes in Florida. In California, the rate for the really rich is 13.3 percent.

So if Suh signs a deal that pays him $15 million per year in California, the Golden State will withhold $1.995 million in taxes. Per year. In Florida, the Sunshine State will take the grand total of zero dollars and zero cents from Suh’s game checks."

Suh and Mack are gonna kill our OL.

I wonder if they will try to sign Houston to an offer sheet, too.

I doubt he wants to play for a bona fide loser the rest of his career, especially when you consider the tax rate posted above.

Not just saying it as a Chiefs fan, but regardless of how much money they have to spend, they're going to **** it up... overpaying for big names even though they dont really fit the system, no real rhyme or reason to the spending etc.

Just watch.

Oh, man.

No one is going to sign Houston to an offer sheet. Especially not a division team they drafts in the top 5-10 every year.

I can't tell if this will make Oakland a more dangerous city or a less dangerous city. Suh will attack people and stomp on them, but he probably won't shoot them.

Suh is actually perfect for JDR's system. The Raiders HAVE to spend lots of money this year per league rules.

He went to Detroit and helped turn that program around. Remember this isn't the Al Davis Raiders anymore, their GM is slowly building through the draft. All but one of the FA they signed last year can be released with no penalty.

They have to actually hit on draft picks in order to build through the draft. Who have they drafted that is DEMONSTRABLY a franchise player at his position?

Yes, the idiots here compared him to Welker. That's what I'm saying, the Chiefs don't spend money on elite players. Instead we try to find out diamonds late in the draft. We'll find someone that somebody here will compare to Suh.

Most think the Raiders draft last year was a good one! Mack is a stud, Carr is being developed, Gabe Jackson played very well at guard, and a few other rookies contributed and played ok.

Adding a player like Suh can only help I would assume.

Right now Miami doesn't even 15 mil in cap space. Meanwhile, Oakland currently has 64 mil. I would think the ultimate "ace in the hole" would be having 7 times the cap space as the other team...
