why arent they intetested in a guy like Shorts instead of Hartline

Cleaning house at receiver, the Dolphins would be buying low on a player who appeared on the verge of exploding in 2012. Per reporter Barry Jackson, the Dolphins like what Shorts brings after the catch. According to Pro Football Focus, Shorts averaged 5.1 yards after the catch in 2014, a nice number. Recently released Brian Hartline and Brandon Gibson offered nothing after the catch.

Chiefs fans by and large hate receivers, love shitty QB's, love fat fucking fatties to be drafted in high rounds, and still believe all a team needs to win a championship is a great O-line with any somewhat capable body behind center, that defense is more important than offense in a clearly changed league, that special teams are your "ace in the hole", and that this clearly ass-backward, delusional franchise will one day "get it right".

Just trust the process.

You can get a Hartline type wr in this draft, rounds 2 or 3 for about a tenth of the price Hartline would cost. Pass

Or we could sign Hartline AND draft one.

This WR core desperately needs a veteran presence.

That's just a waste of money.

It needs talent And play making ability. If you're gonna overpay a vet and then roll with rookies, overpay a vet that can make a difference. Not hartline.

Avant is the same. Unless it's vet min, pass. Just go young there and play for the future.

Chiefs fans by and large hate receivers, love shitty QB's, love fat ****ing fatties to be drafted in high rounds, and still believe all a team needs to win a championship is a great O-line with any somewhat capable body behind center, that defense is more important than offense in a clearly changed league, that special teams are your "ace in the hole", and that this clearly ass-backward, delusional franchise will one day "get it right".

Just trust the process.

I'll take a guy that can get open and make catches consistently. The offense lacked that entirely last year. This team is going to have to sign a couple of veterans, especially if they ditch Bowe.

Why do you need veterans? I think that whole mantra is overblown

Vets don't have a massive learning curve. Hartline would give us way better ability than we have now for this offnese.

We've got dat and wilson on cheap deals

Whatever marginal increase hartline 'might' add sure as he'll isn't worth 12 mill

It's bad enough we gave mauga 8mil...

Nothing says difference maker than a guy during his best seasons was only catching 56-57% of his targets.

Mauga will be lucky to see half that money.

Of course we need rookies...but we also need guys that can step in and produce in 2015 and I think Hartline could do that.

If we are going to pick up a high quality player in FA, I'd prefer it be a tight end.

Fuck Hartline. I'd rather have young guys than pay this guy.

Of the second tier guys, we could do worse than Hartline, he does have a couple thousand yard seasons under his belt... but still, its hard not to yawn when thinking about him.

Just face it, we're not going to be getting splashed in free agency... not at receiver, not at O line, and not at tight end either... the wow factor guys will have to be drafted.

Initially, I was intrigued by Hartline and other FA WRs. Now, no. Draft a good draft. Maclin is a practical upgrade.

NFL: Social Media at it's best. Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe only follows 183 on Twitter, one of his most recent follows ... @Patriots!

UPDATE (NFL): Dwayne Bowe has unfollowed @Patriots. LOL!!! Tipped hand? Trying to butter them up?!? Who knows?!? But, entertaining!
