Draft and develop. Free agency failures are pretty typical. Need to do a better job of drafting to avoid this. Not pissing away a number one on Fisher would have been a start.

I would have this team in the Super Bowl using Madden Franchise mode. What an awful roster. Cut the low rent, restructure Bowe/AS/Hali, Sign #1 WR, tier 2 OL/LB/CB, trade up in draft for WR, then draft OL, CB, S, LB.

I actually think Walker is a decent player but I really never understood his fit here.

I think he would be a nice fit as a 3-technique in a 4-3. He's probably not quite stout enough to be a straight up NT, but if you're running a 4-3 that heavily utilizes the 1 and 3 techs, he'd be a decent fit for both.

I'm a little disappointed we didn't make better use of him in sub packages. I think using him as part of a 4-man front with Poe as an inside shade to occupy the C/G would've made him a pretty effective rotational player.

It was pretty clear that all of those players were "Stop Gap" players that definitely improved the roster the first year.

Walker wasn't a huge signing and while I was disappointed with his performance, Bailey & Howard definitely made up for Walker's lack of playing time so in the end, it was a win=win, IMO.

Howard was a very nice waiver wire acquisition and it looks like it's his job for the foreseeable future.

Parker, Abdullah, Schwartz,Howard, Divito, Daniel, Kelce,Wilson,Dat.

And thats just a start...

Avant - no killer, but was just what the doctor ordered, should've happened sooner.

Coleman - another guy thats not some purebred stud, but is damn good depth.

Cooper - too soon to say he's not a player, the raw skills are evident.

Davis - not much wiggle, but goes 230 with a true 4.4 or better, he's a player.

Fleming - another scrap heap hero, no killer but has proven to be a player.

Fulton - had his bumps no doubt, but no doubt proved himself an NFL player at some level.

Gaines - until proven otherwise his arrow is pointing straight up.

Mauga/JMJ - no great shakes, but the kind of depth any good team needs.

Parker - versatile guy that belongs on an NFL team, better than average safety.

Sherman - best fullback in the NFL.

Sean Smith - great signing, had an excellent 2014.

Vickerson - solid role player for the right money.

Wilson - really started to show up the last quarter of 2014, potential gem for dirt cheap.

So yeah, Dorsey has greatly increased the overall talent level on this team compared to anyone in the recent past... not too many outright stars, but a whole shitload of players that actually belong on an NFL roster, and most of them for next to nothing.

Like I said earlier today, anyone comparing Dorsey to Pioli needs to go sign up for rehab.... dude needs some work haggling with the big stars, but is otherwise a very savvy guy.

Cooper is a project with huge upside. He was a college receiver and has shown flashes of being able to handle the better receivers in the league at times. I'm anxious to see if he has improved and if he has, he will be in the running for more playing time.

I'd rather have a DII receiver that runs a 4.4.

You said he'd be good as a backup NT, too.
