I think it's hilarious people think Hali had a down year this year. He had a ton of pressures, still has a great motor, and is still a very good player. This is great news.

Tamba is ring of honor material.

Agreed. Even though he didn't break double digits last year, he still provides plenty of pressure and vet leadership.

Hali is taking a pay cut because he didn't have a "down year."

Hali has become one of my favorite all time Chiefs over the years. Him taking a pay cut to stay with this team only makes me like him more. Shit, if I was DBowe I'd look at the team and my prospects on the market and follow Hali's lead.

I'm glad to see him make this move. Perhaps this will motivate Houston in some fashion. If not, at least we don't lose Hali AND Houston.

Of course the $20 mil question is, how much of Houston's success comes from Hali being on the other side?

This is how a player endears himself to a city.
Neil Smith should watch and learn.

This, though I kind of fear for how Tamba is received if he struggles with staying as a stand up pass rusher for the rest of his tenure in KC.

Hope he truly retires as a Chief and as one signed off a one day contract.

You'd think more players would want just that. For a city to hold them up high forever. But they don't. Just money.

I really don't fault players for this though. After a decade of playing a physically taxing game for free, it's only right that you get as much money as you can from the system.
