Yuck. Product of Drew Brees.

Kind of weird that the Dolphins would trade for another deep threat when that's a weakness of Tannehill.

This is what happens when you mismanage cap space and end up in over 21M in dead money.

@ProFootballTalk: Dolphins will get WR Kenny Stills, Saints get LB Dannell Ellerbe and Miami's third-rounder, per source.

A 3rd? And Ellerbe? Yeah no thanks to that.

I'll just take a WR in the draft.

The Franchise

Yeah....sorry. I'm not paying that much for Stills.

Glad Stills not a Chiefs I wouldn't want to trade a 3rd for him.

Sounds like the Saints are going from airing it out to playing tough D and running the ball.

How is Brees not on the table right now..

At least we know the price was higher for chiefs to not get in

Ellerbe scheduled to make 9.5M. Lol what the **** are the Saints thinking?

Everyone is available except for Brees and Cooks.

Ellerbe had to have agreed to a restructure or something for that to work

Trading for him without restructuring would have a 27 mil dollar cap hit.

well the Dolphin needed to dump Ellerbe anyway to gain some cap room after signing Suh

still a higher price than i expected

Why would you trade a restructure? Brees seems to be on the downward slide

Yeah....I was talking more about the draft pick. Ellerbe is whatever....but I'm not giving up a 3rd round pick for Stills.

The Franchise

I'd call up the Saints and offer them our 2nd round pick for Cooks. I know it will never happen....but still.

Brees as basically told the Saints to get stuffed each time they asked him to take a paycut so they could sign more players

Now the Saints are either going to trade Brees too during the draft or teach Brees a lesson by making him see the results of his salary demands on the team.

Making Brees play with no talent around him LMAO

I think I remember reading thay the saints can cut Brees next year with no cap issues?

Some weird shit happening this offseason. Trades will become more prominent as the salary cap increases. Definitely more exciting and fun to see.

An R3? I might've been tempted. We should be getting a compensatory pick here soon. That's high, but Stills really took a step forward in 2014. It'll probably be at least two years before a draft pick can contribute at that level. He's also still VERY young.

If that is they case and they are planning to move in another direction then they should trade Brees. Trade him during the draft to one of those teams in the 1st round that need a QB.

Would the Jets trade their 1st for Brees?

Brees threw for 4,952 yards last season on a bad football team.

If that's "downward side", sign me up.

They're going to have to figure out how to replace that redzone threat though.

He also threw alot of picks and I'm not sure he'd be what he is in a different scheme.

And for 27 million dollar cap hit, I doubt any teams are willing to try

If someone trades for Bree's they do t trade for anything but future base salaries and unpaid bonuses.

That's 19m this year and 20m next year.

Very affordable for a guy of his calibur.

Does this rule Miami out as a possible landing place for Bowe?
