He has slipped on his secondary pitches over the past few years... had a very good changeup in 2012, and seems to have lost some of the fade on that pitch since going down to the minors in 2013 to work on it (he was tipping it during that period where he turned into a gasoline can).

He has/had a good curveball at one time, but it's hard to maintain that pitching out of the pen and relying so much on his heater.

Rusty Kuntz has done GREAT work with Dyson. He's lost a step speed-wise but is two to three times the OF he was when he first came up.

I was also annoyed watching them shift Cain to RF last year for Dyson. Now, if part of that was to give Cain a little extra rest in games, that's one thing. But if it was purely because they thought Dyson was the better fielder, I think they were way off base.

I don't think there's anything more than a marginal difference in arm strength between the two, and honestly, Dyson might have a little better arm.

It's not like Dyson can't read the ball off the bat out there. He has played there this season and been fine judging things.

hell, let's not forget that Dyson was probably a top 4 CF in the AL last year and he was part time. If he was an every day guy in the AL I mean ... it would just be a toss-up between him, Jones and Cain (with my boy Cain being the best of the bunch!)
