Re: Rotation ... gotta get this together, or they're going to have to make a deadline move.

Esky is a career .264, .300, .349 guy. Granted he was much better than that last year, but he was also much worse two years ago. Losing Esky's defense hurts more than his offense. The drop on offense isn't as severe.

I'd be curious to see what Wade's advanced stats say, like the contact rate against him. He's been unstoppable, but it just feels like he's trying to pitch to contact more this year. He's not walking anyone, just using his stuff and going right after guys. If they hit it, they hit it.

Let's say the Yankees were offered a choice on each player in our bullpen. Not pick the best, but they have a choice to take that one player and send one of theirs down. Are there any they wouldn't take right now?

It's gonna be fun when we play them. The back end of their bullpen has been as good as ours. Betances and Miller are putting up sick numbers so far, I don't think either of them have allowed a run either. Whoever's leading after 6 is going to win every night.

This. The fans are bringing it this year. Just compare the May 2014 and May 2015 weekend series vs. the Tigers:

28,021 - 38,186
29,200 - 38,692
22,504 - 38,326

The Royals are the perfect storm for the fans right now. Homegrown talent, most fun/exciting to watch in baseball, city starved beyond all comprehension by 29 years of crap baseball, Chiefs in kind of a malaise and fans bored with their mediocrity. It's like when the Chiefs finally got good in the late 90s. So much fun.
