He just got reinstated.

I think he would be a nice option if they don't see Harris making the strides they hoped he would.

We just got rid of that asshole washed up fuckface Fasano. Why would we bring in another player exactly like him?

The only Fred that I'll recognize in the National Football League is Fred Taylor.

He from USC about 29 years old. Davis was drafted in the second round of the 2008.

Assault Charge and Lawsuit

On January 10, 2011, a woman by the name of Makini R. Chaka filed a civil lawsuit against the Davis for an altercation that occurred between the two at a nightclub in Washington, D.C. Davis was accused of assaulting Chaka by dumping his drink on her. The civil case is closed. During the September 17, 2013 ruling, Judge Laura Cordero wrote that Chaka “has established by a preponderance of evidence that Defendant Fred Davis assaulted and battered her.”

The judge awarded Chaka $186 in medical damages, $575 to compensate for damage to “her boots, her dress, [and] her hair weave.” The judge also awarded Chaka $9,000 in lost earnings and $10,000 in pain and suffering.

Arrest and DWI Charge

On February 21, 2014, authorities in northern Virginia said Davis had been charged with driving while intoxicated. The news came one day after Davis had been suspended indefinitely by the NFL.

Second Assault Charge

On July 23, 2014, D.C. police announced that there was a warrant for Davis' arrest for assaulting his ex-girlfriend on June 2. The next day, Davis surrendered himself to the police.

No thanks. I'd rather give those snaps to Harris and the Irishman.

Patriots agree to deal with TE Fred Davis

Less than a week after being reinstated by the NFL, tight end Fred Davis found a landing spot.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Davis has agreed to a one-year deal with the New England Patriots, according to a source informed of the deal.

Davis was suspended indefinitely in February of 2014 for repeated violations of the NFL's substance-abuse policy. He missed all of last season.

The 29-year-old tight end earned career highs in 2011 with 59 receptions for 796 yards. Since that season he's compiled just 31 catches for 395 yards.

Davis joins a deep tight end group that includes Rob Gronkowski, Michael Hoomanawanui, Tim Wright, Scott Chandler and sixth-round pick A.J. Derby.

Once viewed as a Pro Bowl-level talent, Davis signing is another Bill Belichick special. If Davis doesn't wow, the Pats cut him and move forward. If he flashes some of his 2011 ability, they bought a bargain.

If Harris gets hurt maybe we can pick him up. I still hate Chandler when he score those 3 TDs on us.

I'm shocked.

The Pats hate taking on risky players...

picked up by Pats who have a million TEs (really like maybe 6 or 7) so after they cut Davis in the fall we can look into it maybe as an option

Is Chandler really at risk of being cut? I would think that would be a great pickup. He could really help, especially in the redzone and moving the chains.
