They'll be better, but even when they don't have their best stuff, they have to eat innings consistently. We can't have any more 2 inning starts from Duffy, and we need Yordano to come out and win a few games by himself when the offense is off.

It's optional. You can go to your settings and add words you want filtered or you can see everything typed. There are only a few terms that get site wide filtering no matter what.

Yeah, he did save the bullpen. Very Shields like on a rough day. Maybe Duffy can learn something. Still, we need to start seeing results as far as ERA goes.

So I'm late to this party, but last night was a good encapsulation of the season for Ventura so far: up-and-down.

His first two innings were awful. The way he came back from them was great.

He and Duffy have to pick it up. There's no way around it. This team can't go as far as it potentially can if those guys don't pitch like quality No. 2 starters.

Yeah

It really does no good for the Manager to add to the panic. The thing is, good starting pitching can be infectious at times - it certainly worked that way last year for the Royals. Ned's job is to get these guys to focus and be more productive on the mound - 6 to 7 solid innings should always be the goal. If we can get to that level, I like our chances to win most every series we play.

I listened to the game on the radio for a while last night and they were saying that the bad boy image Ventura was taking on really got him down. The struggle now is for him to get his edge back while keeping his emotions in hand.
