News also just broke that Dean Spanos has relinquished control of football operations to his sons.

As if that changes anything. As long as the Spanos family is involved in any way with this franchise, we're never winning shit.

They should consider a retractable dome just in case they ever have a cloud.

Financing 1.2 billion without taxpayer money? In SoCo? That's a neat trick.

Is there any kind of chance that the Spanos family is selling the team to some as of yet unnamed billionaire?

Reads like bullshit. Tax payers will pay very little? They're proposing psls for a team with already not amazing ticket prices. It sounds like the same shit our gov always says.. "Don't worry, we'll do this and that and it'll end up costing nothing!" Once you vote yes the projections almost never meet real returns.

Personally, I like San Diego better than LA. So if I'm going to a Chiefs road game, I'd like for it to be a chill "baseball-like" atmosphere without much noise and a nice stadium. I hope they push this through and keep the Chargers.

Great looking spot for opposing fans to hang out on game day. Oh, also 24,000 chargers fans.

Yep you would think with that kind of money they could come up with something not so average. There is Nothing about that design that is Incredible. Perfectly mediocre and not worth the money-so Perfect for the chargers.

I guess the Chargers were not that impressed with the city's proposal.

Chargers, Raiders secure Carson land

http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2015/may/19/chargers-raiders-carson-stadium-land/

Holding a hand with which many consider them to be bluffing, the Chargers keep throwing in chips.

On Tuesday morning, the day after the Chargers and Raiders announced they had retained longtime NFL executive Carmen Policy to help in their quest for a stadium in Carson, the teams closed the transfer of the 157-acre plot of land that would enable them to build a stadium.

If the stadium is not built, ownership of the land would transfer to the city at no cost.
