Anybody got any idea why the fuck I got blacked out on MLB.tv in Memphis for agame between KC and CIN? Anyone else have a similar problem?
MLB has a wide local market. I'm in OKC. KC, Houston, Texas and STL are all considered local market It used to piss me off when I had Cox Cable because I didn't get a local option. I figured out if I got Direct TV and got the sports pack for 10 bucks I got all the Royals, Cards, Astros and Rangers games and all was right with the World again.

I can name probably more than 50 of their minor league players and give you a decent idea about their stats off the top of my head. Just thought I'd troll while I still can :D

Astros are due for some painful regression.

What a geek? Who can name 30 of their team's prospects without blinking ...

Mike Moustakas is pretty good, guys.

I'm sold. This is here to stay.

We just watched him outwork one of the smartest, most deceptive pitchers in baseball.

You work me away? Flip a single to LF. You try to come inside next at-bat? Rip a double into the pull-side corner. You go away again the next at-bat? I'll blast one into the LC gap.

I mean, it's "win a batting title" type stuff.

Moose and Hosmer are the best argument for sticking with high ceiling guys I can imagine.

they're amazing to watch because they play this game better than anyone ... the right way

they don't Orioles it up and have 9 guys swing for the fence
they don't Indians it up and have 9 guys who can't catch the ball

best bullpen
best defense
never strike out
put the ball in play

and most importantly

they all genuinely love playing together and playing the game

I might stop watching baseball when this core breaks up ... I'll never enjoy baseball like this again

Pretty much this. Combined with the most success-starved fanbase in baseball leading up to last season. Baseball just doesn't get any better than this for a fan.

The royals are crushing people and when they lose i think oh they lost because they feel sorry for the other team! We're looking good!

Our division as a whole is playing .600 ball over the last 60 games played.

It's like 1980 all over again. The Royal's and Stro's on top of their Divisions.........except HOU was in the NL West and the Royals actually went to the WS:evil:

What's an average fan spend at a game between parking, tickets, concessions, souvineers, Little K games, etc...$40 or so? I'd say the total take was $600,000 more than a typical Tuesday game in years past.

If I get average seats and take my family of four I'm spending $120 on tickets, $12 parking, $20 for the little K, and around $60 for concessions if I'm lucky.

Same here.

The fact that they love playing together can't be overstated.

It makes the game much more enjoyable when you can visibly see the guys pulling for each other, 'over-celebrations" be damned.
