What is Butt Rock?

I generally don't even bother to look at the lineup for this show anymore, but I just looked and damn, I would actually like to see Rob Zombie and Anthrax live.

Anthrax and Volbeat would be great to see live. I went to Rockfest a few years ago. It was raining and there were too many drunken idiots running into people as you walk by. We left early. It kinda sucked. Nothing like my first experience at Rockfest in 2006 which was great.

Yeah that was a shitty moment when that happened.

But that same year in 05, I decided to get in a mosh pit as a 135lb 15 year old and was obviously knocked around. People were actually very nice and made sure I was helped up as soon as I fell down. That was very cool. I remember falling on my back then just immediately covering my face, then somebody grabbed my forearm and got me back up. Haven't really done moshes since then though.

It will be interesting to see Tech N9ne too. Think he's supposed to do something w/ Anthrax's Joey Belladonna. Maybe it'll be "Straight Out the Gate" and Belladonna does the part of Serj Tankian from System of a Down. Song kicks ass.

The best part of this event still being staged is the pictures that come out of it. I think the Pitch did a big photo mashup on it last year. Allows you to people watch without breathing the stench all day.

I skipped out on Tech N9ne, but Papa Roach was fantastic as usual, and Nothing More sounded incredible. Anthrax did great as well. I didn't leave this year disappointed by anybody.
