because I never heard about it until today

He said he had a hard time reading, so he has a learning disability of some kind, but he didn't specify. It might be dyslexia, but that is just a guess. I think he is courageous to stand up and speak before a crowd, since he knows he isn't a good speaker. I am a good speaker, except in front of a crowd! It is one of my fears. Even at my party in the Irish House in front of 19 family members and friends, I ended up speaking too fast, but I didn't flub any words, so I take some solace in that my speech went over well.
