INDIANAPOLIS -- Donald Thomas' time with the Colts came to an end Monday when the guard was released after playing just two games during his two seasons with the organization.

The move isn't surprising considering Thomas' history of injury problems.

The Colts signed Thomas, 29, to a four-year, $14 million contract in 2013 with the hopes that he would bring stability to their offensive line.

That never happened. He tore his right quad and left biceps in Week 2 in 2013, causing him to miss the rest of the season. Thomas' 2014 season ended before it even started when he tore the same quad in training camp.

Indianapolis just took Thomas off of the physically unable to perform list on Friday.

The Chiefs should kick the tires on Thomas. He has durability concerns, but he's a ZBS guy who'd be a strong candidate to push Allen and Fulton for the starting job at right guard. I'm also sure he can be had for pennies on the dollar.

Broyles has never done anything of note in the NFL.
Moore's talented, but he's two years removed from moderate productivity.

Bucs really don't like Wright second time he got traded by them.

Buccaneers trade TE Tim Wright to Lions

I personally don't like the idea of playing six olinemen (fisher, grubbs, morse, fulton, allen, stephenson).

It takes a playmaker position off the field.

I don't want another Ryan Lilja incident. But you only joined in 2008 so your new to football and NFL roster rules.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryan_Lilja

First stint with Chiefs[edit]

The Kansas City Chiefs signed Lilja as an undrafted free agent prior to the 2004 season. He was waived on September 5, 2004,[2] with the intention of signing him to the practice squad if he cleared waivers.

Indianapolis Colts[edit]

On September 6, 2004, Lilja was claimed off waivers by the Indianapolis Colts soon after the Chiefs waived him.

The Colts re-signed Lilja on February 19, 2008, to a five-year deal worth $20 million.

I think Poe will play week one.

QB (2) - A. Smith, C. Daniel
RB (3) - J. Charles, C. West, K. Davis
FB (1) - A. Sherman
TE (3) - T. Kelce, J. O'Shaughnessy, R. Gordon
WR (6) - J. Maclin, A. Wilson, D. Thomas, F. Williams, F. Hammond, J. Avant
OL (9) - E. Fisher, J. Allen, D. Stephenson, B. Grubbs, Z. Fulton, L. Duvernay-Tardiff, J. Pughsley, M. Morse, E. Kush

Total Offense: 24

DL (6) - D. Poe, M. DeVito, A. Bailey, J. Howard, M. Catapano
OLB (6) - T. Hali, J. Houston, D. Moses, D. Ford, F. Zombo, J. Martin
ILB (4) - D. Johnson, J. Mauga, J. Johnson, J. March
CB (6) - S. Smith, M. Peters, P. Gaines, S. Nelson, J. Fleming, M. Cooper
DB (5) - E. Berry, H. Abdullah, T. Branch, R. Parker, K. McCray

Total Defense: 26

K (1) - C. Santos
P (1) - D. Colquitt
LS (1) - A. East

Total Special Teams: 3

Practice Squad (10)
QB - A. Murray
DL - D. Irving
LB - D. Alexander
LB - R. Wilson
WR - D. Brown
OL - M. Reed
TE - A. Schiltz
WR - C. Conley
DL - N. Williams
DL - R. Nunez-Roches

Notes:

1. Murray really hasn't impressed. To this point he really hasn't shown he can be the future starter at all. This is our best shot at a Super Bowl in a long time and we won't waste a roster spot waiting for Murray. He'll go on the practice squad and we'll see what happens.

2. We have five of this year's draft picks on the practice squad. That is a good sign and we are really deep. Neither of the MLBers we drafted are ready. Nunez-Roches, Conley and Brown also need time to develop.

3. We cut Fanaika. The money won't matter to Dorsey just like it didn't when he cut Bowe.

4. Going with 10 LBers isn't that crazy considering how much emphasis we put on ST.

After which the reference to Conley on the PS.

I rather doubt that. He's still extremely raw as a prospect.
He fared better in his last outing, but he's still very inconsistent.

He will agree in principle to a contract with the Chiefs. He will then fly to Denver and sign with them. While signing the contract he will injure himself. Goodell will then void the contract and he will end up with the Chiefs and be placed on IR. Because Chiefs.
