Can one of you please insert the text "this was considered a legal hit" into this gif and tweet it to every Chiefs player and coach a few times over the next couple days before the game...

I don't condone dirty play whatsoever, but this was considered legal and turnabout is fair play.

I'd love to see Houston, Hali, Ford, Bailey, Poe, DJ or Howard take a shot like that on the 5 head.

Here's the deal with that play. When it happened, the Chiefs did NOT retaliate, and I knew right then we were going to lose the game. Someone absolutely should have returned the favor to 5-Head. When KC becomes the aggressor, we will have a much better shot at beating these fucks.

Because I want this gif to be in the players faces in the next 2 days. I want them to know its ok.

I want blood.

I want to see Manning on the ground 10 times Thursday night.

I want to see him uncomfortable in the pocket.

I want to see him fumble...throw into coverage under duress...

I want us to start out 2-0 and if we can get/stay in Manning head, that's gonna happen.

If only Smith would've thrown downfield more.

Jesus Christ, how did he stay in that game? That's as brutal a hit as you'll see in this league.

I still don't see how anyone could have watched last season and placed all the blame for our lack of downfield passing on Smith. Harris is standing there watching Miller stick his helmet into our QB's spleen. He doesn't seem to perturbed by the affair...

Of course you only have ten years of stats on Alex Smith that pretty much says he doesn't throw downfield.

Of course you only have ten years of stats on Alex Smith that pretty much says he doesn't throw downfield.

You have several years of stats showing that he's not a bomber, but that he's just a tick below average.

2014 is the outlier on his career, not the norm.

His 2013 downfield passing rates were more than adequate to win ballgames.

I was speaking directly to 2014 - do you really think that the way he played that season is the way he WANTS to play? Of course not, but when Ryan Harris is tasked with keeping you upright against the Von Millers of the world, it doesn't seem like sound strategy to hang out back there and survey the field, does it?

He's always been bottom 25% of the league in downfield throws. At BEST.

Ain't changing.

I wish...I can't figure a way to go, unfortunately.

2 guys here have offered me a ticket, but my son has school in the am and my daughter has preschool and the old lady works 6am and I can't see leaving that all on her plate.

If I lived closer...I'd be there, drunk, loud and getting my section all riled up and ready to party after the game.

I think were going to the Steelers game, bro.

Alex threw 36 passes in 2013 that traveled 21+ yards in the air. Most of those were after the bye week, too.

In 2014, he threw 18.

I'm expecting that number to be close to 45-50 this year.

As much as we all echo your thoughts here, Manning ain't afraid of us whatsoever especially going against a very young 2ndary. Manning has had our number since his inception into the league. But what Peyton is afraid of and should be is himself. That said IF we stuff the run well tomorrow night forcing Manning to throw more than he wants then it will get interesting. But Kubiak will game plan around Peyton's throwing limitations. But this type of game plan will only work IF we can stuff the run consistently:thumb:
