I wish my S/O could understand how important this moment and this game is to me.

The Chiefs are my oldest friend.
Through all of the pain and the frustration that being a fan of the Chiefs brings, I have never considered leaving their side.

Every person in my life who has come and gone that truly knew me will be thinking of me when they have their day in the sun, because it will also be mine.

When I was 10 years old my mother took us from my father in the middle of the night to Nebraska.
I hated that place more than anything in the world, so I called my father and asked him to come get me.
He drove all night from Nashville to come take me home where I belong.
I fell asleep on the way back, and when I woke we were passing Arrowhead and Kauffman stadium.
I thought it was amazing, having seen very little of the world, being from the sticks.
I remember thinking about it all the way home.

Once I saw them play, and the Fucking energy that was in that stadium and how they fed off of it I fell in love with the team, the city, and it's fans.

There is no other sport.
There is no other team.
