Who cares? He's a brokedick wasting a roster spot. How many years are the Chiefs going to sit through his injuries? He's the Tony moeaki of DBs.

Started 6 games last year as a rookie playing both inside and out. Got a concussion last year that's it! Only missed 1 day in training camp this year. Starting this year as the LCB and nickel. Where is Nelson? Has not given up one touch down this year. Was playing great tonight before he went down. It is a bad break for him but no other player on D has played more snaps then him a game. Give the kid a break. Should be interesting to see who they put in the nickel in his place. He will be back stronger than ever.

You should be mad about the game and not go after a player who is playing well just because he got hurt.

Also I think ALL the CBs looked bad tonight. Piece of humble pie.... Aaron Rodgers tends to do that.

Wonder who going to get cut now S.Smith is coming back. Do they finally let Nelson play if Gains is out a couple of weeks.

Think you're wrong. It was a slight tweak. There is every chance it's an mcl sprain or strain.

If it ends up being a sprain, let him sit until they're absolutely sure he's clear.

The timing is horrible. We get Sean Smith back looking to sport an awesome secondary only to lose one of our best guys, forcing us to keep shitty ass Fleming and Cooper on the field.

We can only hope Nelson can ball out while he's gone. He's literally our only hope.

If Gaines is out doesn't that free up a spot so no one has to be cut? I know maybe a few CBs should be cut to pick up other CBs. I hope Nelson if given the chance does a good job. We need him.

When you see someone go down like that with no contact its 70/30 really bad.

70/30? Lol. I'd say closer to 95/5 out for the season.

Disagree. He tweaked his knee. It happens. Multiple players had sprained knees in training camp. Missed a couple weeks?

Exactly? Exactly what? Gaines is NOT a brokedick. And who cares? So you still want to see Fleming and/or Cooper on the field when Smith returns?

Dude you have obviously never had a sprained knee. You don't go down like that from a sprained knee, even Alex might not go down with a sprained knee.

Ben's was a contact injury, pushing his knee inwards - MCL.

Gaines' non-contact on a cut is pretty much game-over for the season.

Gaines is the DB version of Branden Albert.

Basically.

He was injured on and off last year and he's about to do the same this year.

I give no shits if he sinks or floats anymore.

When I tore my ACl and Miniscus, they told me it was a knee sprain. Apparently, a knee sprain can mean ACL tear. And even if its partial, he's out for the season.

Which means Sutton won't know what to do after Sean Smith comes back either.

At least it's not a "starter" per se. He'll just have to figure out who to put in at NB since it seemed that's what Gaines was doing for the most part.

Exactly. Deal is with Smith, Gains and Peters they weren't just "deep" they had 3 quality cover guys. Now they're basically going to have to go with what they've been going with. Can't wait!

It's easier to swallow with Smith back. Before they were leaving Gaines as the NB and putting Fleming in across from Peters. Now they'll just have to plug in a new NB because Smith and Peters will be starting. They need to put Nelson in. He's a 3rd rounder....not a 7th rounder. Gaines did just fine last year as a rookie.

Was hoping it was just his MCL.

...and if you happen to be Tiger Woods (when he was still "happily" married) you can even win an 18-hole US Open playoff on a torn ACL.
