Disagree

he is a backup strong safety that was trying to cover one of the quickest WR in the league and a HOF QB.

Tyvon Branch is there to help stop the run. He was an absolute emergency play last night and being asked to do something other than his job.

As opposed to Cooper and Fleming, who were asked to do their exact, specific job and just failed miserably.

All that said... no cuts. Gaines to IR.

I can't see Hunt firing him but IMO, there has to be a conversation about the preparedness of the team and the play calling.

Alex Smith aside, this team has too much talent to be manhandled like they were last night. Regardless of Smith's ridiculous salary, the QB position has to be in play.

3 games into the season and people think Hunt is going to take some kind of action?
Historically, the Hunt family is pretty patient with the football team.

Nothing is going to happen until the end of the year, and even then I would guess there is still less than a 10% chance of changes being made.

Agree on all points, and still can't understand why Childress isn't calling the plays.

Besides the history Reid has with him, and regardless of the final season in MN, Childress proved himself to be quite an adept play caller in handling both an aging legend (Farve) and a young journeyman (Travarious Jackson) as well as a premier RB (AP) in winning two straight division titles en route to an NFC Championship game appearance.

Short of John Dorsey firing Andy Reid with Clark's okay, this regime isn't going anywhere, anytime soon. Andy will call the plays, and everything will continue. This time, we could get into year 5 and fly planes all over again. It won't matter. Clark is going to give these guys some time. You have to have continuity to have any chance of success in the NFL.

Not the answer everyone wants to hear, but if you've paid attention, you know I'm right.

The thing is, Andy Reid had his greatest success with Brad Childress serving as offensive coordinator and calling the plays. Unfortunately, Pederson, who has never called the plays, is the designated offensive coordinator.

IMO, it's a mess. The offense, Reid's supposed specialty, has been holding this team back for three years now. Something has to change and if Reid is going to claim all responsibility (as he continues to do), the responsible thing would be to act as the head coach and give someone else the play calling duties.

Right. And this is why Clark needs to step in and have a serious conversation with Andy about the direction of the offense and the team overall.

I've never believed in a head coach that also calls the plays, whether offensively or defensively. It's one thing for Reid to be a part of the game plan and offensive design, but it's another altogether for him to call the plays from the sideline while trying to manage the game.
