Wilson can't stay healthy, neither can DaT

Having guys constantly going in and out of the lineup doesn't help the QB or the offense.

Just start Conley and let's see if we can get some continuity going at the WR position opposite of Maclin. Conley should be a better blocker than the midgets as well.

Does wide receiver really matter in this offense? We should start all three tight ends.

We could have Calvin Johnson, AJ Green, and prime Randy Moss out there and it wouldn't change a ****ing thing. Smith doesn't even run through his progressions anymore, it's like what's the ****ing point?

yep, not even close

DaT can't stay healthy and it seems he has lost some speed. Maybe he add some weight in the offseason to help withstand the hits. It's not working and now he isn't fast enough to outrun those big guys who are crunching him.

Might as well let him get all the snaps. We've got nothing to lose at this point.

Thanks for this for all this new information, it contributes so much to the conversation.

The #2 WR in an Alex Smith offense is almost irrelevant. He doesn't target the #2 WR enough for anyone to ever really care about that position.

#2 WR history with Alex Smith:

2014 - 31 catches, 0 TD (combining Avery and Wilson)
2013 - 40 catches, 2 TD
2012 - 42 catches, 1 TD
2011 - 20 catches, 3 TD

That's an average of 2 catches a game over the last 4 years. Three in three games this year for Wilson. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

I'm not able to look it up right now, but it would be interesting to see how #2 receivers typically stack up in receptions across the league. By definition they get fewer targets than the #1, but what percentage lower? And how do they compare to TEs and RBs?

I remember back in the 90s when Alvin Harper was the #2 receiver for the Cowboys and everyone kept talking about how he was underutilized. He then went to some other team as their #1 and totally flopped.

Conley and Chase should start.

My hope is they will make a move at the bye if Alex doesn't stoop shitting the bed.

Dat has been a waste of time and space. Thus far, Dex was better.

I think Conley should start as well. Avant is a 3rd receiver, period. DaT is------well, I'm not sure what he is. And quit throwing &%^$# bubble screens, somebody is going to get killed out there

I think we are a better team with Conley on the field. Have to respect speed.

Start all the midgets since Alex can't keep his eyes up.

When you got Alex Smiff as your QB, does it matter what WR we start?

The guy is a WR killer.

As a guy in his 40's, I take great pride in the fact that, after 4 games, I'm only 3 catches behind the #2 WR on the Chiefs. Part of it is my diet. Part of it is P90x. But really all of it is Alex Smith.
