I see 9 wins and an early exit from the playoffs, at most. You just can't do enough with this OL and defense. Silver lining is, I no longer get excited for what comes next. At least it's clear now that this season is a lost cause.. but maybe they can bring some slivers of fun with it.

going .66 with this schedule for the remainder of the season is possible. But we are praying for a wildcard. Good thing the AFC is a complete roller coaster this season. Miami Ravens and Colts playing this bad?

GB, Denver, and Cincy are all top 6 teams. Top 8 if you wanna be stubborn.

We are on the path I expected record wise so far. Start the season 1-3, finish 10-6.

Does this mean I am pleased or satisfied to this point? Hell no! We completed some 3rd down plays today but couldn't find the end zone. The o-line still looks like crap. The rush can't get there. The d-backs are leaving too much space at the line and still getting burned deep.

I keep trying to tell myself it is a young team starting at least one rookie on each side and they will improve as the season goes along but it is harder to do each game.

You guys are way too negative.

We just limped through the toughest stretch in our schedule by far. After this, we have two (2) really tough games left - Denver and Baltimore. Sure, we'll drop a couple that we should win, but I'm not impressed by any of our other match-ups.

I say we go 9-7, maybe 10-6.

Dropping the Broncos game was a killer. Big difference between 2-2 (or maybe even better, who knows how much morale factored into these losses) and 1-3. Now we're at a disadvantage in the division there's no room for error. The team has to play out of its mind the rest of the way to even sniff a playoff berth.

Feels like a 7-9 year at best right now.

Not all of them, but yeah, most. We scored more than 20 against the undefeated Broncos, the undefeated Packers, and the undefeated Bengals. Against teams that don't have surging or Canton-bound quarterbacks, we'll do a lot better.

But playing QBs that aren't bound for Canton and beating them doesn't do anything.

They'll miss the playoffs, that much is almost certain given that something like 85% of 1-3 teams don't qualify for January football. Winning 6+ games does nothing but harm draft position.

One player I want to mention for his suckage this year is Hali. He has been terrible. He has provided next to no pass rush and his run defense has been abysmal. He hasn't been able to hold contain on the outside at all and has been getting blocked out of plays a lot more this year than any other time in the past.

I'd say it's due to age, but it should be pretty obvious to anyone that keeps an eye on him. Another issue is with Sutton. He's constantly putting defensive players in a terrible position to succeed. Hali in coverage? Stupid. Ron Parker on AJ Green? Yeah, that worked out about as I expected. Sutton is about as responsible for the horrible defensive play as any specific player.

That decision needs to be announced in tomorrow's morning meeting. And the decision should be Hunt's, and that decision is obvious, and should be that Andy can only be on the sideline if he's willing to play for 2017+. Fat-Andy had his chance to make something of this team and he failed miserably, so the HC jab should go to the first coach in the system who's willing to do whatever it takes to make the team right (including playing kids who won't win) in seasons where we might have a chance. That won't be this season, no matter how Andy sells it to the others at the table, and Clark needs to dismiss him from the meeting if he even starts to suggest it.

WIN @ Raiders
WIN VS San Diego
LOSS @Ravens
WIN VS Browns
WIN VS Raiders

Is it really that difficult to envision? I mean we've lost three games to playoff teams, who are also undefeated. Not surprising.

The losses aren't the problem.
It's how piss-poor they've looked during the majority of the time they've been on the field with those three teams.

I think they will go 10-6. I've always thought they would go 10-6. I'm not surprised at all they are 1-3 after the schedule they have had. I see the remaining schedule going something like this

WIN VS BEARS
WIN @ Vikings
WIN VS Steelers
WIN VS Lions
LOSS @ Broncos
LOSS @ San Diego
WIN VS Bills
WIN @ Raiders
WIN VS San Diego
LOSS @Ravens
WIN VS Browns
WIN VS Raiders

This isn't difficult to envision but it is difficult to swallow.

With three losses to three playoff teams already, assuming the season ends the way you predict, we've got no quality wins. Wins against a Roethlisberger-less Pittsburgh team (I'm aware he's on track to return against us), San Diego and Minnesota are iffy at best.

They looked completely incompetent, not just beaten by a better team. I haven't seen a more disorganized team since todd haley. At least he had the excuse of inexperience. There's no excuses for andy reid. I'd be shocked if they won 7 or 8 games.

I see 9 wins and an early exit from the playoffs, at most. You just can't do enough with this OL and defense. Silver lining is, I no longer get excited for what comes next. At least it's clear now that this season is a lost cause.. but maybe they can bring some slivers of fun with it.

I hope your pussy gets so rotten you die a horrible death from some type of infection where they have to amputate your lower body and then you lose control of your motorized scooter and careen down a hill and have to be on life support , with massive brain damage. ...and you live the rest of your pussyless life eating broth through a tube

Vikings isn't a given
neither is Detroit or Pit or Buffalo

this is pretty optimistic

This is a game that we should win. So we will find a way to lose it. Mark it down.

I do think mindset plays a huge roll. If we win this weekend (I'm going to this game...) then we have to win BIG. I'm talking about CBS switching games to a more competitive one big. I'm talking seeing Chase Daniel by the 4th quarter big. That would do a lot for the team's confidence, and they may build off of that going forward. The last 3 weeks have been dismal, and they got worse as they went along after that Denver debacle. Win big against the Bears and they just might start to believe they are better than this shitfest.

I don't see that happening. But...Chiefs.

I wonder if Andy bothered to state the obvious that the team's performance (the whole franchise!!!), has gone a long way to killing support from fans that don't have alternative reasons to remain rabid fans.

I'm sure Arrowhead will be rocking next time they're home, but that's one of the reasons that's aided in the 46 years since they've won a SB - the franchise rarely has felt enough backlash for non-performance.

Let's hope they dig deep, grow a pair, pretty-much win-out, and win the SB, but I'm not holding a lot of stock in that.

SOC was the only time in my life I can remember a discernible and effective raspberry from fans and that wasn't long ago at all...one would hope Clark does not want to see that shit again...

They will go out of their way to make sure Chase never sees the field right now.

Yep. Nothing a coach hates more than a QB controversy.

I agree, and I'm not opposed to using it as a means to influence our Dallas-based owner into doing some things that are obviously right. And that doesn't mean he has to necessarily fire Andy, but he sure as hell can tell him that based on what's been seen, he's buying a play-caller, and a clock manager. He might also suggest that Andy pick a new defensive coordinator so he doesn't have to. If those things are an affront to Andy's manhood and he decides to quit over them, well that's Andy's choice.

So we know Arrowhead will take forever to go empty, it's just the nature of the region that eight Sunday's a year (seven this year!!!) are dedicated to America's most popular sport. But that doesn't mean that real fans can't show up for games and do things like wear black as a silent and visible symbol of how displeased we are with Hunt's handling of business below him.

They'll say it doesn't matter, but we know it does. And it won't take long before the comments and questions make the subject unavoidable.
