I think 5-6 wins is the ceiling now.

I can see Andy/Dorsey whoever trading a valuable piece to move up and select a QB, and having him sit behind Checkers for one last year.

Maybe that's wishful thinking though.

It's time to see what the young guys have. Pull Hali, and let Ford get the snaps full time. Continue starting West over Knife even when Knile gets healthy. And let's get Murray some game time.

Won't happen though. They'll keep pushing forward as is, determined to win a few and save face.

I wasted almost 200 bucks driving down from Omaha for that shit fest. Fuck this team. That was embarrassing. No points in the second half, and more 3 and outs than I can remember.

Alex is an absolute turd. He was abysmal today. I wasn't even that drunk, though I should have been. Left with 3 minutes left, hoping they could hold on but not wanting to watch this shit. Plus I had to drive all the way back to Omaha.

Listened to the dork ass presser from Reid after the "stunning" loss to the absolutely shitty Bears.

This is a lost season, and a lost experiment. We've wasted Jamal, we don't utilize Maclin or Kelse, and our QB is a big fat loser.

If we are picking in the top 5 there is no way in hell the Chiefs aren't drafting a qb it's going to be a deep year for QBs

Not really.

Even if most of the underclassmen like Goff, Jones, Lynch and Hackenberg declare, it's a pretty weak class.

A lot of question marks associated with the QB's in the 2016 draft class.

It's a pretty weak class every fucking year.

It was weak last year. And in 2014. And 2013.

And if Andrew Luck doesn't snap out of his AIDS funk, even 2012 is pretty weak.

They're ALL weak QB classes.

So just fucking draft one.

No way this team beats Detroit. If they can't beat Chicago, I don't think you can mark a win down anywhere on the schedule.
I said in the "next 4 games" thread that is was conceivable that they lose all 4. Take Charles out of it and it's almost a certainty.

Because of the nature of the nfl they'll probably win a few games they shouldn't, but I can't look at the remaining schedule and confidently put a W on any of those games.

This season is going to be a landfill fire.

Reid?

He won't/can't do anything without his boss approving it, and Clark won't take his head out of the sand any time soon. Hell, he's not even had to look at a banner or a black-shirt game yet. Reid has sold him on being able to fix this I'm sure. Not to mention that he's at 37K feet...

It depends. I really do think that Andy told John no early QB since he's been here.
I think the game has passed Andy by. What would he be without Sutton the first 2 years?

This offense has had 3 years and this is the result.

Dorsey is a maybe. His work in the draft and offseason in general this spring might be worth keeping him around.

Unless DeCosta is available, we might want to keep Dorsey.

Do you trust Dorsey to hire head coach?

I do not.

Plus, personally, I HATE the West Coast Offense.

Give me the Zampese/Coryell.

You guys are some bitch-ass mother fuckers

Normally I would agree, but it's a blown big lead at home to a PATHETIC, injured Herm Fox coached Bears team. What a fucking joke.

When you really look at it, Dorsey hasn't been great. He's hit on a couple really good players, but a lot of it has been average at best. His first round picks haven't lived up to his billing. Three years in to the regime we shouldn't be regressing and yet we are. He has to share in that responsibility. Color me disappointed in the entire franchise.

Nope. He needs to go with Reid and Smith.

Well, he didn't hire Reid, so that's a point in his favor... :)

I know I don't trust Clark to do this again.

Can't really tell as he hasn't made a hire. I think he's done an okay'ish job so far.

Part of me wonders if Reid made him trade and extend the dogshit QB. We know Andy had a long standing erection for tiny hands.

His track record, choosing to ignore dog shit QB, has been okay. Some good and bad picks and a mixed bag of FA.

We could do better and we could do worse.

I'll give him some credit in the sense of he's not balls deep into full on Packer love and might be willing to go a different path here. So there's that.

I trust Dorsey to build a great team over time that is shorter rather than longer. I too hate WCO, but I realize that the GM doesn't have the say over the scheme in this case, that's a Reid thing.

Whether WCO or not, it looks like Pederson can handle play calling duties much better than his boss, and I'd try to keep him as a Coord.

I'd kick Sutton's ass to the street and hire a more aggressive D-coord and head coach. I don't believe having a "name" coach matters at this point, it's having the right coach that can bring toughness and accountability back to the franchise without alienating everyone.

Why does Dorsey get a pass? What has he done to cement himself? Peters? That literally is about his only draft pick worth a shit. Him and Kelce.

I must admit, I'm curious as to who Dorsey would hire, were he given the chance to hire his own coach...

The play calls are fine, there are guys open. They need someone that can read and deliver the ball. They had a great drive yesterday when charles got hurt where they ran the ball all the way down the field and used some play action. Its not a WCO.. nobody in the NFL runs a entirely WCO scheme... they just use certain concepts. Sutton needs to go. Throw chase into the lineup and I'm pretty sure they would have won a lot of these games.

There's a gif in that smiff thread from yesterdays game where TWO guys where wide open (slant with a trail route) and alex threw a check down behind charles instead. I mean, that stuff HAS to get pointed out to alex during film review, no?

I doubt this Chiefs team without Charles can beat the Chargers unless Rivers gets injured and doesn't play.

Red Dawg
10-12-2015, 06:05 AM
With out Charles it could happened this team looks like that have lost faith in andy's system

Andys system is not the problem. Alex can't see the field at all. There are WR running free numerous times in the game and he fails to throw them the ball. He stands back there if his first read is no good, moves a little then takes a sack.

Alex is straight up a garbage QB.

They won't lose enough to win any draft prizes

Mediocrity is the curse of the Chiefs

You're crazy. This team is dead awful. The next 5 games will all be losses for sure. Arrowhead will be ghost town and road games will all be losses.

We will pick in the top three.

Because the problems with this team are AS and coaching.

That is all on Reid.

That said, if getting rid of Reid includes replacing Dorsey, I'm good.
