I have to admit I like the kid. No JC by any stretch but he has some punch to him.

What's wrong with Davis? Great at Arkansas... played well in spurts.

I like his game.

He is a smooth runner that is patient.

I don't know if he will be the "next big thing", but I think he will be adequate.

Always broken, poor vision, not patient, doesn't run as tough as his size.

He's a destitute man's Larry Johnson without the off-field personal baggage.

He's never seen a hole he couldn't miss.

And by that I mean he's simply never seen a hole.

Well, there you go... that sucks, was hoping he would have a good career even if it was in KC.

I actually like West, but doesn't he always look like he's going to trip over his own feet?

I think West needs another year of development to be something great. I'm all for him being used sparsely like Charles was and let some JAG like Ben Tate or Trent Richardson bear the brunt of abuse for the rest of the year.

Not like the Chiefs have any need to win a game this season.

He's got a perfect last name for Reid's offense.

Most offenses run north-south.

One thing for sure, he'll be hungry, this is his chance and if he's anything he'll take advantage.

He'll be the biggest thing since Catapano

I think we are all going to see just how good JC was. West couldn't do much at the end of the Bears game to keep the clock moving.

The next big thing in the KC chiefs backfield should be a fucking QB.

He's not going to be the next big thing, he's going to be the only thing

I think he'll be fine in there. There will likely be some costly fumbles. IMO, the offense won't change much, only because Reid hardly used Charles anyway, aside from the passing game, which West seems to be very good at.

You mean Donnell Bennett Jr.?

I'm hoping for about 15 fumbles, one for each loss.

He looked good in preseason so I guess we'll see what he is made of.

The next big thing in the KC chiefs backfield should be a ****ing QB.

This and more of this. We've been watching elite RBs take us nowhere for too damn long. Jamaal may always go down as my favorite Chief, but he can't do it alone. Need a QB.

Career 3.4 ypc while not being a focal point and running behind Jamaal Charles who has one of the highest YPC ever

We'll never see it. Dude is going to be looking at 9 man boxes and a bottom third run blocking unit. Jamaal Charles can turn a tiny crease into something significant. More importantly he almost always has the speed to get around the edge if there isn't a crease. West isn't that guy. He may be good, but his stats are going to be FULL of negative plays.

Unless they just say fuck it and tell Alex that it is 2 minute drill all day every day. Then he might catch some passes for gain.

Bottom line: he's not a good enough talent to overcome the fuckfest that is the Chiefs Offense. Charles was.

Hard to run with a crappy line and the opposing defense always stuffing the box because your QB can't throw more than 3 yards.

We will probably break West's confidence when he gets 21 carries for 44 yards next week.
