Grbac was too good. Anyone who throws for 4,000 yards is barred.

It's not Steve Pueller...

It's not Elvis Grbac (I still hate that guy)

Can't be Doug Hudson.

Who's Doug Hudson??

QB Doug Hudson*(1987)

You need to know two things about Doug Hudson. One, he was the last QB until*Brodie Croyle*came along to be drafted by the Chiefs and start a regular season game. Next, in his only five minutes playing in the NFL ever, Hudson made one incomplete pass and fumble one handoff which resulted in a safety. He was taken out of the game after that and never played a down in the NFL ever again.

He may be why the Chiefs don't draft QBs. Brutal.

Gotta go to Damon Huard.

Right??

Nope.

Grbac wasn't Gannon so fuck him.

Right??

All time leader in Chiefs' comebacks.

Remember that Raiders game in Oakland on MNF where he threw the winning TD with like :32 left??

That was awesome.

I was a Huard believer. Seriously, as a really, really cheap game manager, this is who you want. Now, when you start paying the other mediocre guys like they are stars, that's where you invite disaster.

Huard would at least throw the ball down the field. He helped make parts of 2006 really fun.

Huard had more balls in 2006 than any QB we've had in in the last 9 years.

He was a pleasure to watch.

2006 Green over 2006 Huard was arguably more condemnable than Grbac over Gannon.

Yeah it was stupid to put Green in over Huard in that playoff game. The chemistry had changed; it had become Huard's team.

I don't remember how well Green did in the regular season games once he came back. From the stats it looked like he was mediocre to good but driving Larry Johnson into the ground was the offense that year.

Did Green start any regular season games??

Maybe the crazy Jax game to end the season??

I just remember his head getting flattened on opening day, then he came back for the requisite playoff loss to the Colts...

Yeah. A fascinating story. They sent a crew out to shoot the "Chiefs QB". One of the most hilarious communication mishaps in sports history.

He started a few but was simply not the same after his injury in Week 1. As you alluded to earlier, he never seemed to "mesh" with the team and it showed in a huge way in the playoffs.

Man, I really didn't anticipate that we'd be pining for Huard and Grbac so much. In retrospect I'd redo the poll to include all of the more recent #11s. Oh well!

I'm impressed with the command that SUCKIN' ON A BIG OL' CHILI DOG has, however.
