That's a great point and I don't even live in Kansas City but listen to both WHB and 610 Sports Radio. They are now spending 90% of their time talking about the Royals and just a small fraction on the Chiefs because it is so depressing. :spock:

These freaking people are beyond delusional. They are Hitler Youth Chiefs Fans. They are black sneaker wearing, comet riding, make-scientology-look-credible mindless sheeple Chiefs fans.

Hey, we win our remaining eleven games and we're in the playoffs, baby!!!

Oh, I forgot to mention. I got an email from the Chiefs today offering to sell me 2016 Pro-Bowl Tickets in Hawaii. Because, you know, every team will probably have at least ONE guy on the team, except for the Super Bowl participants. And we know that ain't happenin....

If you would have told me 5 years ago as I was being removed by my father from Arrowhead for getting into fights with homer Chiefs fans during the Chiefs/Ravens playoff game that when I was 30 I'd no longer have any passion, whatsoever, for Chiefs football I would have laughed in your face. It was my only real passion in life (sadly). I lived and died with this fucking franchise. 90% of that passion died in Indy at the last abortion ... the other 9% has died this year (didn't watch a second of last game, watched the final drive of the game before that (lol), and barely watched the game before that as I was driving home from a wedding).

Seriously. 25 years. Never even thought of missing a Chiefs game. Missed 5 of my nephews' birthday parties because they were always on Chiefs Sundays.

Now? I'm not even mad. I just don't care anymore. There is no one on this roster I like other than Kelce and Peters. Kelce doesn't get the ball. I am just bored watching this shit fest. Alex Smith is the most boring football player I've ever watched in my life. I'd take the Thigpen gimmick offense over this shit 1,000 times out of 1,000.

Nope. Don't care anymore. I play FanDuel and watch Red Zone. Chiefs are never in the Red Zone so I no longer watch the Chiefs. They are dead to me until they give me something I can be passionate about. Just so much less stressful than being stressed out by shitty, no effort football every Sunday.

hell, my favorite team to watch now is the Patriots and I fucking hate the Patriots, and I hate Tom Brady. But at least they play an exciting brand of football. I am just so tired of seeing 3rd and 9 and watching DeAnthony Thomas run across the formation and then Alex Smith throw him a swing pass 3 yards behind the LOS and watch him get tackled for a 1-3 yard gain.

Between witnessing a live abortion in Indy in the playoffs and then going to the Mecca of pro football and watching us gag on cock again in GB - I'm such a sucker - but I'm done. I'll never get rid of Sunday Ticket because I enjoy watching GOOD football too much. But Chiefs? Nah.

10-19-2015, 04:50 PM
Yep, two weeks ago I didn't feel like going out to a bar to watch Chiefs/Chicago and they were blacked out on my Sunday Ticket (local) and I didn't realize I could just watch them on Fox Sports Go until the 4th quarter.

I thought, "well, I guess I'll see them in the Red Zone. Except that really never happened." I figured out I could watch them on FSGO on the final Bears drive, laughed, and then said, "well, not making that mistake again next week."

Chiefs were local AGAIN, blacked out AGAIN, this time I could have watched on my Verizon phone ... but, instead, I just watched Red Zone, in peace, and clearly I never saw any Chiefs/Vikings game, at all ... except for that Parker pick and that amazing Charcandrick fumble!

Hootie

I do want to know what fucking idiot in Champaign, IL for our local CBS affiliate (or Fox, or whatever the Chiefs/Vikings game was on this week) decided, "hey ... let's make this the local game!"

I'm sure there ratings were fantastic. My Denver homer buddy came over unannounced (I have Ticket) and was like, "they only have KC/Minnesota and Chicago/Detroit on and I couldn't take it ... can I just watch Denver here?" So I let him.

I watched Denver over KC. That's how much of a fuck I give about KC.

You know, when I stop and think about it, I don't have a big problem with that.

I'm not sure sitting at home watching the Chiefs win a playoff game will surpass my top experiences at Arrowhead.

As much as the message board collective hates to hear it, the gameday experience is fun for a lot of people. The tailgating. The crowd when the Chiefs are playing well. Those big plays when 70,000 strangers are feeling like you do. It's a blast, and it's an event in itself that stands alone from the game, the season, and the cumulative history of rooting for the Chiefs. I'm sorry, but it's the truth for a lot of people.

There's a hell of a lot of sports fans in this world who's days/months/seasons aren't ruined by the failures of the team they follow. They probably don't have 10k+ posts on a sports message board.

Seriously, this thing could turn around on a dime. We did hold aP to 37 yards on 25 carries plus the 1 for 23. Alex smiff did have a 92 rating and our defense also had 2 picks.

Yeah, I did that for several years... probably averaged a few games per year including CP gatherings, didn't really care about who they were playing, grabbed free tickets for meaningless games (even when they were terrible).

But, my general interest in what I see as a watered down, mediocre league, has declined and overall I want more bang for my buck, especially if it's $120 just for a ticket and parking. By comparison, I go to ~20 D-I college hockey games for $20/each and went to an absolutely electric playoff baseball game yesterday for $125.

I'm right with ya as far as watching the big games live, which is exactly why I haven't been to a Chiefs game since 2011. Once they demand my attention, I'll definitely reconsider... pretty much done with the average/below average experience though, especially at that cost.

Seriously, this thing could turn around on a dime. We did hold aP to 37 yards on 25 carries plus the 1 for 23. Alex smiff did have a 92 rating and our defense also had 2 picks.

I really can't believe everybody has given up.

Oh, I fully expect a meaningless 5 or 6 game winning streak once we've long been eliminated from the playoffs. It's a nice F U to us wanting the #1 pick

Even if Aaron Murray looks good and wins some games we should still draft best QB we can in the first round. Add value to the position and competition. Let them battle it out and work for the starting job.

The O-line can get fixed during FA even though I'm not a FA fan we can get solid line and get young guys experience.

Stay Positive? Sure thing. First, how many of your players are staying positive after the crap way you have called games? How many remain positive since you have kept an qb in that can't throw any further than 10 yards, if it's completed then, let alone read the defense. How many have remained positive after reading fans comments, or heard fans saying something, or talking to them on the street? Maybe you should tell the team to be positive first, but I would suggest you precede that by telling them they are getting a new head coach and starting qb first. Otherwise, your liable to walk funny for some time.

As far as me remaining positive, I'll tell you how positive I've remained. I'm almost 58 yrs old. Been a Chiefs fan even before I can remember, but my dad told me one time they was our team from the day they moved here. I bet a count of games I missed either in person, watching or listening on two hands that I can remember. My almost entire wardrobe is either red, yellow or white, or a combo if those colors, intermixed with purple, the color of my other favorite football team, the Butler County Community College Grizzlies. However, unlike you, they play real football, National Champions more than any other team I think. I'm sure the way you guys are playing right now they could beat you.

So be positive? Not anymore. I'm done watching and being embarrassed. I watched two plays last Sunday, then turned to something else. Week before, turned it off after the half. I refuse to watch or listen to the games until something is done. Year after year after year I've heard and seen for the most part the same thing. Thus the worst. We should have won most if not all our games but we didn't. And I'm tired of giving and giving and getting nothing in return. So Clark #unt and Andy Reid, go screw yourself.

I gave up my season tickets in 2007 after the Baltimore playoff fiasco, and they STILL call me asking me to renew, and offering to reinstate my priority.

These fuckers don't care that I'd be jumping the line of thousands, if not tens of thousands of STH's, they just want my cash.

No bueno.

This team asking us to stay positive? We need to stop any outward support for their dickless efforts.

After the 2-14 year I gave up my season tickets. They continue to e-mail me and call like I owe them money.

Not gonna bother even mentioning that ever again. Clark Hunt is sitting on an ATM and until the cash stops spitting out he won't do anything. If you continue to buy tickets, at this point, you're part of the problem.

I've found that if you send them a few email responses saying you'll spend money on the Chiefs again when they stop trading for other teams garbage at the most important position in the game, and actually draft avQB in Round 1.... It gets you off their email list pretty quickly.

I agree about drafting a QB regardless of Murray's performance...However, I'm not confident that this regime can fix the OL. And Im certain that Heck could not coach it up if they they could. You do realize that every team made $226 million (each) just off advertising/television deals last season? The stadium could be 100% empty for the entire year..and he would still profit in the tens of millions.

It doesn't really matter how successful your franchise is anymore...the corporations own the NFL now. They only care about how many viewers tune in to see what ever name brand they are pushing (Luck, Manning, Brady...Rodgers). KC and Detroit are right where the NFL wants them...

I'm sending them an e-mail saying the only way I'll buy ST's again is if they bring in a guy we can all get behind at QB: Kaep, RG3 or bust!!!

I would flat out become a raider fan if we got RG3 and would bring a handicapped sign with RGKnee on it every home game if the chiegs got him and root for him to be injured. Same with Craponyourdick

Come here. Let me hold you.

You know, this whole thread has pissed me off. Not that everyone's fed up but that the Chiefs actually want us to be positive.

Fuck them. I originally lurked here starting in 2003 and I was such a fanatic about this team. As time went on, other things got more important but I still never missed a game. Now it's been 22+ years since a playoff win and I just don't fucking care anymore.

Fuck the NFL, fuck wasting my time and fuck the Kansas City Chiefs. I am officially not watching them again or spending a dime until they win a playoff game.
Fuck you Hunt.

It is the expectations that kill everyone

You guys should take a page out of the Browns/Lions/Jags fanbase
Most of them have accepted what their team is and thus don't get angry when they stink it up

For some reason so many on here have put such expectations on what is really a bottom tier franchise

If you were talking an Alex Smith lead team up as the favorites to win the division or compete for an AFC Championship then that's on you

Reid never turned us around - Alex Smith wasn't broken yet and we still had Branden Albert.

Hell anybody could turn a team around given the seasons we had before Andy Pandy, and then pretty much the softest schedule in the NFL the 1st year he's here. I'm sure this guy used to write fantasy cartoons and is still stuck there.

Reid is a good coach. Just needs his QB, not one forced on him like Smith is. /cp reidtards.

He was, but I'm not sure he is anymore. And while I agree that he needs a QB, I'm not sure he and his staff aren't failing at O-line, defense, two-minute drills (QB!!!), and other key areas like getting players to protect the ball.

I'm sure we'll hear "they don't play", but we all know that's a silly excuse and it's not worth addressing.

And most of all Clark is failing. If he's not failing by firing these clowns (for whatever reason), he's failing to publically support these guys and at least "take responsibility" and perhaps be the face of the franchise and explain what's going on.

So between the team's performance, Andy's slowness issues, Dorsey's apparent failed draft picks, and Clark's head in the sand/stage fright there's a lot of fail to go around, at all levels.
