How big is your bladder?

There was a story yesterday about a drunk man that busted his bladder whilst jumping into a pool/lake. It didn't say, but I am assuming it was a belly flop. He was so drunk and his bladder so full, it blew a flat upon impact. After emergency surgery, he is OK.

The article noted that the bladder is a muscle and typically holds 10oz to 20oz. That seemed a bit small in my mind.

So, this morning, needing to pee pretty badly (no belly flop into the tub), I weighed myself before I peed. Then again after. 2 lbs...32 oz. Umm. Sometimes I feel like "Animal" in Revenge of the Nerds, who pisses in the background of a scene. And pisses, and pisses etc.

Bonus, I had taken a vit B complex last night so the pee was glow in the dark, dayglow yellow:)

My bathroom scale only weighs in increments of 0.2 pounds. I find it odd that it doesn't go down to 0.1 pound increments. I can tell you that I've never lost two pounds, or even one. But then again, I plan ahead to minimize the risk of my bladder bursting.

When I was in the hospital last year and they were routinely measuring my output, it wasn't uncommon for me to unload about 1000mL, which is about 33 oz.

Now on dialysis, I'm doing good if I put out 700mL in a day.

Umm..k I think we can agree on how to measure bladder size. How does one measure prostate size? The feel test.. pea, acorn, walnut, orange? I am not quite sure how I would feel using a ruler? And you best wash up before submitting the results.
