At the halfway point, how interested are you in the rest of the NFL season?

My interest will continue to rise as the Chiefs move toward Super Bowl 50.

I'm more interested in the rest of the 2015 hunting season. Secured some good goose spots, some quail ground, and the deer numbers are looking good.

My interest is about whether the Chiefs win the rest of their games or lose them. In between is boring and destructive for this team.

Haven't caught much of the NFL or CFB this season, either from poor matchups or just having other stuff to do or baseball to watch. I'll probably catch a few NFL games in mid-January, if not a few before then.

Considering the state of Mizzou football, basketball and the Chiefs I think I can easily hibernate from sports ball until spring training.

If there's a game on and I'm not doing anything else and there's nothing else on I'll probably watch some of it. Definitely not scheduling my life around it like I used to though.

It's a big "meh" now. I watch if it's on and I don't have anything else going on.

Pumped for a chiefs improbable run to the super bowl

I've decided I'll pretty much stick to college football to get my fix for the sport. Then it's on the college basketball, which will bridge beautifully into baseball season again.

In the last two weeks I'd wager I've caught less than an hour of actual NFL games. And I don't miss it. Haven't caught a TNF or SNF game in at least three weeks I'd say.

I'll watch the NFL playoffs for sure, though.

I have been thinking about this. Around this city there seems to be a pretty broad "meh" attitude towards the NFL. But I am trying to figure out why that is.

Is it because the Royals are so good and the Chiefs are bad so no one was making the effort to pay attention? Is it just because the Chiefs are bad and the Royals had nothing to do with it? Is it because the product on the field is perceived as being bad? Is this feeling common across all NFL cities or just the ones in which the team is bad? Is it because people are not as personally invested in their teams anymore and instead view players as nothing more than stats? Is it one thing? A combination? Something else entirely?

If the Chiefs hadn't come out all abortion-like and ruined their season before the bye and were only a 2 or 3 loss team, the city would be pretty pumped for the season. It doesn't have much to do with the NFL product in general. If we were the top turd in the shit pile we'd still think that was something to be proud of.

But they didn't do that because they're a shit organization from top to bottom. And now as we bask in the glow of Championship baseball, this shit football team doesn't have any sparkle left to it.

For the Chiefs...meh...just another year with another brokedick vet QB from another team.

Basically, thag

If the chiefs were sitting at 6 and 2 right now going into denver as a division lead up for grabs, the town would be pretty pumped

The NFL has become something between background noise on a Sunday and hoping I win some fantasy football money.

Thanks again, Chiefs!

A few weeks ago was the first time in over a decade that I did not watch a game. And I have to say, I didn't miss it one bit. I've only watched like a half a game in the last three weeks, and that was only cause my kids wanted to.

GO ROYALS.
