This just shows you don't need a dominate rb, yeah a Jamaal Charles is awesome to have but you can basically plug in any rb and do well.

He just sucks. Terrible pass protection + he doesn't keep his feet moving.
Apparently, anyone is better than Davis.

Ware needs to get more carries.

Defenses clog the LoS so much because of our shitty play calling that Ware's power could help us out with a few extra yards.

If used properly Ware and West could be more difficult to handle than Jamaal was alone.

Notice how when we ran the ball to milk the clock we actually ended up scoring TD's instead of FG's...

Over what time span are you talking about.

If you think this is an 80% zone team, you don't know what you're looking at.

Huh? The guy has limited value as a special teams guy, kick returner. He is not good. Not a good receiving option, averages 3.4 yards per carry. Great job IMO for the coaches to realize what they have with Charcandrick and Ware. Davis just isnt shifty side to side, he just has straight line speed. Thats it

:spock: you must've missed how successful Knile was. Yes, RB is a position where you can find talent almost anywhere, but let's not confuse that notion by saying "you can plug in any RB and do well."

Five things to know about Spencer Ware, Jamaal Charles' replacement

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Running back Spencer Ware was promoted from the practice squad to take the Kansas City Chiefs’ roster spot vacated by the departure of Jamaal Charles, who tore his ACL and was placed on the injured reserve list.

Ware signed as a free agent with the Chiefs at the end of last season. He participated in their offseason practices as well as training camp and the preseason. The Chiefs released Ware at the end of the preseason and signed him to their practice squad after he cleared waivers.

Ware will be third on the Chiefs’ depth chart behind Charcandrick West and Knile Davis.

Here are some things to know about Ware:

Ware often uses quotes from famous people to fill his Twitter timeline. On Tuesday, the day he was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster, Ware quoted Nelson Mandela: “It always seems impossible until it’s done." Ware can be found on Twitter at @spencerware11.

Ware declared for the NFL draft after three collegiate seasons at Louisiana State. He started only 14 of the 36 games he played in as a collegian. He rushed for 1,249 yards, caught 39 passes and scored 12 touchdowns for the Tigers.

Ware played in 21 games as an outfielder for the LSU baseball team in 2011. He hit .178 in 45 at-bats with two doubles and five RBIs. It’s a small sample size, but his slugging percentage was .222 and his on-base percentage .255, so it sounds like football was a better career choice for him.

Ware was a top dual-threat quarterback in high school in Cincinnati. Though he was a running back at LSU, he did throw a touchdown pass in a 2010 game against Auburn. Remember that if the Chiefs put him in a game and have him throw a halfback pass.

Ware was drafted in the sixth round by the Seattle Seahawks in 2013. He played in two games with the Seahawks as a rookie, rushing for 10 yards on three carries. He is the third former Seattle player now with the Chiefs, joining defensive lineman Jaye Howard and defensive back Ron Parker. Chiefs general manager John Dorsey once worked with his Seattle counterpart, John Schneider, with the Green Bay Packers, and the two frequently are of the same mind when it comes to viewing the abilities of players.

Does Knile Davis get a shot to bounce back, or does this kid get called up if West can't go next week?

I say Davis comes back because weren't sure what's the status on Dat if he can come back unless he pass the concussion test.
