Tamba

There is a core of guys that have been here for a while that make up some of my favorite Chiefs of all time. Tamba, DJ, and Charles, specifically.

With some of those guys you listed, I think you're just high on the win streak.

I mean, they're good players, but not enough to have worked their way into fans hearts.

I think he stepped up to make up for the mistake. I may be cutting him some slack, but you've got to remember the Moeaki days. Fumbling is a fixable issue. I'm just glad he came out with some fire after the fumble.

Yeah, he had some nice plays in the second half, but golly man. Ball control. I believe somebody in the GameDay thread said he's equaled Tony G's entire career fumble numbers in two years. And on one of his catches in the second half, he still was willy nilly with the ball.

I don't know if this is my favorite, but it is the first team we've had in a long time that seems to never be out of the game and, in fact, always manages to muster up points in bunches when it doesn't really seem like they should have.

I like 'em.

And while I get impatient in the game threads I've shed the woe-is-me attitude that is too easy to fall into with the Chiefs. This is a different team. We still need to get our O-Line healthy (as today showed) but we're picking up steam at just the right time.

I can applaud desire to gain that one extra yard. He is still young and a bit cocky, as success comes that will dwindle. The man is a legit weapon, he just needs to learn some discipline. We can only hope that fumble does the trick.

I grew up watching the Chiefs in the 60s, and that culminated in a SB win in January 1970.

I didn't go with a team no one is old enough to remember.

I went with a team that I am old enough to have watched, and remember, that actually achieved the the ultimate goal.

In my lifetime it was the 2003 team.

We lived in bum fuck Montana where we rarely got Chiefs games and we didn't have cable. We went to Arrowhead that year to watch the 4-0 Chiefs take on the 4-0 Donkeys with Dante's famous punt return. They started the season 9-0 that year and my dad and I would drive 30 miles into town to a bar to watch most of the rest of their games that year.

Good times and a damn fun offense to watch.

If the playoffs were to start today, we would be on our way to Indianapolis. I'd feel very confident in not only beating them, but by multiple scores.

Cincy
Denver
NE
Indy
KC
Jets

That's the AFC playoff field.

Is saying this team will go to the AFCCG really a stretch?

NE doesn't look the same without Edelman.
We already beat Denver and would have plenty of tape on Brock by playoff time.
Indy isn't good and would be outmatched
The Jets would be the 6 seed, so I doubt we would play them.

I'd love it if we got to have the "monkey off our back" game against Indy in the first round, then face NE and then Cinci.

The only team that really screes me is Cincy...but if we get a night game, maybe we get bad Andy...

I just can't quite buy into this team yet. I love the defense as individual players, but feel like they under perform as a unit. The offense terrifies me.

Loved watching Holmes behind that Oline. I believed in that team. I also loved a few of those Marty teams.

Maybe I'm just gun shy now, but I don't have the same level of confidence in this team.

Na, you believed in that offense. The defense was a clusterfuck.

This year's team is better than any team we've has since Montana was here. There's balance and leadership mixed with youth all over the place.

I think we're winning a WC game at the very least. Not confident enough to say we are going to the AFCCG tho unless we have a good path.

A man can dream.

New England is vulnerable without Edelman, the magician who comes up with the craziest YAC numbers.

Then, you take away Gronk and Tom Brady looks like ****.

I don't know if this is my favorite, but it is the first team we've had in a long time that seems to never be out of the game and, in fact, always manages to muster up points in bunches when it doesn't really seem like they should have.

It's almost as if some of that Royals "Come From Behind Magic" has rubbed off on their co-tenants.

Poe was badass today, often times, taking up two blockers.

If Houston would have been healthy, it would have been insane.

Hali, at age 32, was running over their left tackle. If we're even talking 2013 Hali, he would have walked away with at least 3 sacks.

I deleted the recording but I wish I'd have kept it.

I watched Poe specifically several times and he was double teamed and a few times, triple teamed.

Had Houston been out there, it would have been a sack fest.

If Houston's back for the final game of the season and fully healthy at Arrowhead, he might break DT's sack record.

Their offensive line is awful.

Bullshit. There were a ton of games in the Marty era where you knew the Chiefs were the better team. Same with that 2003 Vermeil team. Going into that game against the Falcons and their #1 run defense, Chiefs fans knew they'd be able to run the ball.

They haven't fielded a team since that you could depend on any part of the team. Sure as hell not this current team.

Those teams had flaws, but they also had things they dependably did well.

I specifically left TG out to emphasize the successful (or lack thereof) run with TEs after TG. It's nice to have a game changer at the position, even if he tries to do more than he should.

The fumbling is a correctable issue; having the will to fight for that extra yard isn't.
