So, if the Chiefs were to win a Superbowl this year would the turnout for a parade be bigger than the one for the Royals WS parade.

And to anyone that says take it one game at a time or any of that other bullshit, go fuck yourself.

I don't know. But the Royals embraced the fans and we embraced them. Felt like we won too.

Don't see that with the Chiefs.

And lets save this talk for now.

It is an interesting question from the standpoint that the Royals parade just happened, if we did happen to have two in such a short period of time.... the Chiefs could obviously learn from the World Series parade, but at the same time, I wonder if people would say "meh, I'd love to, but spent x hours in traffic, x hours standing, x hours leaving.. and it's cold this time."

OTOH, maybe there isn't enough overlap to matter.

I'm going to say no. In general I think Royals fans are represented more equally by a wider demographic, especially women.

There are KC fans all over the midwest.

Outside of the immediate KC area no one gives a $#it about the Royals. Not even in Missouri...

Not true. The Omaha area went pretty crazy.

I'm going to ask this here - because the next step is to create a thread - but - how do you all feel about Dixon's Chili?

I dont think it will be...not by a long shot.

Main reason being the weather. A nice mild November day is a lot better than being 0 degrees in early February.

In many cases, women prefer baseball over football. Not as many women would be at the Chiefs SB parade as there was w/ the Royals parade. Lots of mommies bringing their babies to games etc. Can't do that at Arrowhead unless you you want your baby to go deaf, therefore they're not following the Chiefs as much, they're doing other things instead.

Yes, but a large number of people at the rally were women both with and without kids. I agree there are more Chiefs fans in total though.

Also I think the Royals rally had about as many people as could possibly be there and that huge crowd alone would probably keep some people away from a Chiefs one if it were to happen right away.

Yeah, I've seen a fair amount of Royals stuff there... all the hotels were booked for the parade the morning after they won the World Series (granted, I booked a room and live ~20 minutes away)... spoke with people at a few games who drove from out of town, including a father/son from Oklahoma City and a couple from Springfield.

Chiefs have a lot more fans in Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Nebraska & Iowa but it would be colder though.

I think there'd be a lot more but would depend on the weather in February.
