That is just great-Frankiestein Jr. is going to shit his pants this weekend. He can't seem to catch a punt right to him let alone a Boomerang or a Knuckle-ball.

Looks like it will be 3 straight weeks we get to watch Muffy the Punt Slayer in action.

In four days, the Baltimore Ravens would face one of the NFL's most explosive punt returners.

Hammonds????!!!

Well, he does cause the minds of Chiefs fans to explode every time he muffs a punt.

Fascinating article. And a 44 yard net? That's amazing.

I've been noticing the punter stats changing in recent years. It used to be extremely unusual to average 45 gross, but then all of a sudden guys were hitting 46 or even 47. This year, 4 guys are grossing over 48.

And the nets are amazing these days as well. A 44 yard net may be unprecedented. I wonder what the record is.

As of 2013 the record was 44.2 yards net for the season.

One of my favorite plays in football is a gunner speeding down the field and demolishing the punt returner. Given the current NFL, would anyone even be surprised if they removed this type of play?

About time for that Draftplanet thread about potential first round Ace gunners!

It's all the air they put in the balls. You don't get that sort of success at Foxboro though...

kicking in general has become more of an art. Kickers are a hundred times better than 20+ years ago, and punters are smarter.

I was never going to notice, cause yanno, I don't watch Ravens games typically. Until this weekend.
