Sheesh, that team is decimated.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000616859/article/patriots-tom-brady-suffered-ankle-sprain-vs-fins

I'm hoping this scenario plays out:

Chiefs win @ Texans
Steelers win @ Bengals

Chiefs win @ NE
Steelers win @ Denver

Steelers @ Chiefs in Arrowhead stadium for the AFC Championship.

Makes my nipples hard.

I'm just loving the health status of the Chiefs. Winning streak, swagger, health, balance, great defense, ball protection.

In late breaking news, Tom Brady's attorneys have forced the league to recant any allegations of a high ankle sprain. Tom Brady knows nothing about any ankle problems, and the Patriots have indefinitely suspended the assistant equipment manager in charge of taping ankles.

***READ IN JAWORSKI VOICE***

...When asked to provide evidence, Brady is said to have thrown his walking boot into an incinerator that is located in the team's equipment room. When asked why the team has an incinerator on the premisis, head coach Bill Belichick responded, "It is what it is. We're looking forward to the challenge of the playoffs." Brady could not be reached for comment, but his agent did note that the star quarterback had "lost his cell phone and wasn't taking calls on his land line." We spoke to one source close to the situation that was willing to bet that the cell phone also fell victim to the club's incinerator, along with the supposed walking boot. The NFL is reviewing these allegations and are expected to make a decision on a course of action in the coming days once commissioner Goodell returns from his NFL public relations tour of Africa and the Middle East.

New England has a fucking horrible OL. Our defense would crush that team right now with all of their injuries. It'd be a repeat of last year's game.

Yes, please.

Peyton Manning = PED abuser with a dolphin forehead and lone super bowl victory over Rex Grossman before the advent of the smartphone.

Tom Brady = Super model wife with Joe Montana-like post season triumphs spanning decades.

I'll take the patriots in the post season in a weak AFC irregardless of the ankle sprain.

Again, NFL games missed to injury

NE 245
NYG 236
BAL 235
WAS 215
CLE 192
JAX 184
HOU 178
SFO 175
CHI 173
BUF 172

Good news is we're getting a bunch of guys back for the first playoff game, including Edelman, Hightower, etc. But some guys are IRed (we also have a tied for the NFL lead 17 of those), including our starting left tackle, and both our primary RB and our "third down" back", and our best interior pass rusher.

I'll take whatever I can get in the playoffs. If we're one and done, I won't spend too much time moping. The injury bug hit hard this year. Not much you can do when that happens.

I have some friends who are Pats fans (you believe that?) they didnt care about the last two games, they just wanted the Pats to sit people and get healthy. the first round bye was good enough.

Unreal how mumbles just puts people in there and goes 12-4 year after year.

Suh was the one that did it? That's insane. Even if this one is unintentional, that's just a hell of a lot of correlation.

At the moment I don't care about Brady. This team needs to beat Houston, which is pretty hot now too. Chiefs can drop this one easily because Chiefs.

I hear that sentiment alot. I hope they can just "flip a switch" when everyone (especially Edelman -- he's the straw that stirs the drink) comes back for the playoffs, but that's a pretty tall order. And nobody is really going to come fix that OLine which has been shaky all year really.

We'll see. I'm not saying we have no chance -- far from it. I'm just saying that literally nothing would surprise me, including a one-and-done, or back to back SB wins.
