Where will you guys be spending Sat afternoon?? Do you like being with a group at a bar or at a big watch party at someone's house sharing the glee or misery.....Or at home yelling at the TV by yourself...
I have tried both ways but prefer to watching by myself because if shit goes bad I'm not fit to be around....If it goes good I'm everyone's best friend and text all my buddies Woo Hoo.....

I have to go see my family since I couldn't fit all of my travels in over the holiday break, and they are the furthest away. They will watch football if they know what is good for them.

Same room and couch where I watch all the games in my home. Fridge will be stocked with beer.. the dogs and significant other quarantined to a room far from me. Might even have my one remaining friend over, if he calls, but I kind of hope he doesn't. I think I'd prefer to be completely left alone for this one.. aside from GDT here of course.

My wife and I at a friends house with just a few other people. I don't like watching at the bar or in big groups. A few years ago I would have had to be alone due to the nerves.

I am not too worked up or stressed about this game or any lately at all because I think I am still emotionally drained from the Royals. After that experience the nerves now are not comparable especially combined with still being broken from our most recent playoff loss. I want it to return though and I hope winning this game does that because being a nervous wreck for the Chiefs is fun and makes the experience so much better.

I'll be watching somewhere by myself. Not a big fan of watching my teams with a big crowd because in Illinois there aren't exactly many Chiefs fans to go around.. and with the way they are I am not subjecting myself to that level of vulnerability to others LMAO.

It came in handy in the playoff game against the Colts a couple years ago. Nobody witnessed my misery. However, the Broncos game this year there was like 10 people over at my house at college and I laid on the ground for a solid 6 minutes after the Charles fumble and didn't move once. Gave no fucks. Not doing that again if I can help it.

I've already received a few invites to go to someone's house to watch. Pass.
I'm perfectly content watching from the comfort of my own home. Plus, I don't have to deal with everyone talking, and everyone's wives/girlfriends talking, which leads to the boyfriends/husbands getting pissed, then arguing......it's a never ending cycle.

Plus, I absolutely hate some of the football takes of my friends, and just don't have the energy to argue any of my points etc. I just like to sit and watch the game, catch a buzz, eat some food that isn't good for me, and yell rhetorical questions at the TV a few hundred times a game.

thats one thing that drives me nuts at the bar. I'm there to watch the game, don't talk to me about anything but that damn game. GOT IT. Oh and it better be relevant to whats happening in the game at that time. Not talking about something that happened 30 minutes ago.

I like to start the game about an hour late so I can fast forward through commercials and be caught up by the end. Plus, if I want to drink, I can do it cheaper, have better food, and not have to deal with obnoxious people around me.

Completely understandable.. I'm clearly the minority in this situation but I know what I like. I've met some really good lifelong friends by going to sports bars that I would have never met if I stayed home.

There aren't many Chief fans in PA so whenever I go out and see one it is usually always a good time.

Either way the main thing is we want our team to win. If that happens where I watch the game really isn't that important.

My father in law is badass, and I love my mother in law, but there is no worse person on eat to watch a game with (except the douches in my section at Arrowhead).
It will be 3+ hours of sighing, throwing in the towel every time they give up more than 3 yards and or don't score in every play, calling every black player mean and a thug, while a white guy doing the same thibg is a hard worker having fun (the Peters vs Kelce theorem) and griping that the announcers are all biased against us when they souch as mention that the game is played in Houston.

I can occasionally learn something interesting that I may have missed from a poster's comment.. such as an unexpected player on/off the field, or who failed a tackle/block.

That, and it can be fun to see the ebb and flow of the forum's general panic or confidence in how the team is doing. The key is just to not focus on the forum to a point where it becomes distracting or irritating.

This. God i hate watching the game with other people. They wanna talk and ask questions and whatever the **** else....i just wanna watch teh damn game and be happy/miserable all by myself.

My wife tries to act like she cares about the games sometimes, bless her heart and all, but damn i wish she wouldn't.

Same. She's moderately interested for about a quarter.

Mine just hates hearing me yell and talk shit. What the fuck else am I supposed to do?

Mine let's me go down to my man cave & watch football all day. I have a great setup(bar, fridge, popcorn machine, toaster oven, microwave, fireplace & my Samsung 75" w/surround sound).

I just found out I'll be at my in-laws.

That sounds like the GameDay thread.

I don't like watching alone. Have been watching all the games on Sunday with a group of friends since H.S. They are all very knowledgeable sports fans though, so it enhances the experience. Out of the group of 5-8 depending on the day, we really don't have any two people that root for the same team. It's strange. We also basically take some enjoyment in the failure of the others team.

No wives or girlfriends even come, save for the Super Bowl which has yet to be an issue with me being into the game as a Chiefs fan.............

My wife is a huge 49ers fan (ugh) since the Joe Montana days, so she understands the up and downs of football.... She pretty much leaves me alone on game days and is sympathetic when the Chiefs lose...I married a great woman..:thumb:

Only con is that him and his buddies will be Texans fans so you take the good with the bad.

Agreed.

It's also great to get an outside perspective. All of us on here posting are more than likely not just "fans," but "hardcore fans," so we will curse and praise our players sometimes more than they deserve. I like having friends of other teams watching the game who can tell me how they personally feel.

And yeah I get pissed and yell but it's a sports bar and I tip well. No one gives a shit. At worst I get cut off when I get too drunk then I just get a ride home and drink some more. Lol.

It's fun with all the yelling and emotion, it's almost like you are at the game.

I am in no way disrespecting people who like to watch alone. There are pros and cons to each it just depends on what the individual person likes IMO. You sure probably save a lot of money watching at home. That's for sure.

I'm one of the about four or five Chiefs fans in the DC area, so I have no desire to go sit in a bar with a bunch of strangers who probably won't even care. I'll be watching it right here in my apartment, with my two good friends Wings and Whiskey.

Depending on your personality, you'd be surprised how many friends you can make by doing that.

And just because their favorite team isn't playing doesn't mean they don't care... I've met plenty of nonChief fans here in PA who root for us for one reason and another.

But like I said before to each their own. As inviduals we all different likes/dislikes.

I will not be watching/listening to the game... I will be skiing/snow boarding at Sante Fe Ski Resort with the family.... snow pack is almost to 100 inches thanks to El Niņo... I will catch the score after we come off the mountain... good or bad... I can't bare to watch this game after the Colts/Chiefs meltdown I had last year...

I damn sure won't be watching with Clevelandbronco and DaFace. The last time I did that, it was a disaster. I'm just going to make a fort out of my couch cushions and watch it through an arrow slit.I have a feeling you're as supersticious as I am. It's too a point where I HAVE NOT wore Chiefs gear on game day for 10 weeks. I won't put any Chiefs gear on Saturday either. :D

I'm just the opposite. I wear the same gear that I've worn for 10 weeks. (washed of course)

Im gonna be home. Got chores all caught up, finished the wood cutting I needed to do. Looks like we will enjoy the game in front of a good fire, have some great cured meats, some Irish Cheese, and salmon spread. I figure we have a commanding lead and Q4 I'm snoozing. See ya's tomorrow.

Picked up a beautiful rack of baby back ribs for the smoker and a 12 pack of warsteiner for tomorrow's game. Told the Mrs to find somewhere to go while it's on. I'm so excited to be in the dance, but so scared that they'll shart the bed, I need to watch this one alone.

That's pretty much going to be me too, except instead of the water, I plan to get a wee bit day-drunk on whiskey.

It's gonna be a hell of a day. I can feel it.

Gonna go out to my brothers. He is a Pitt. fan, so both games being on the same day is gonna be cool. Since the Chiefs play first, im gonna have 3 hours of ribbing him or 3 hours of taking the ribbing.

Since I am like 90% sure the Steelers win, please, please Chiefs get that W!!

(And even if I am wrong on Pitt/Cinci , please get the W anyways:D )

We don't close on our house in Gilbert AZ until February 2nd and are staying at my mom's in the meantime. The last Chiefs playoff game I watched here was our last playoff win. This is really going to put my superstition into overdrive if we win tomorrow. If we make it the Superbowl I'll have to drive back for the game :)

I'll be starting the day at the neighbor's house running a data drop to their new office (whenever THEY GET UP!!), then off to the to Lake City with the younger son for an hour or so, then to other neighbor's house for the game (GO CHIEFS!!), then off with the younger son to the rink for some ice time with the freshly baked Christmas skates.

Edit: Looking at the weather, Lake City may have to wait! LMAO

Dude, I live in Gilbert. It's awesome. Let me know any questions about locations, restaurants, schools, etc.

Watching the game at my buddy's place. Need to be away from wife and kids so if the game calls for an expletive ridden tirade, I can do it guilt free. Prob gonna do my traditional wings and fries for game time

Cool man.

I've got to visit and few times now and I really like it. I've been sitting behind a desk for 20 plus years so the outdoor life and getting my fat butt active is appealing. Just ready to get there and get settled as our lives have been pretty stressful the last 6 months.

I will have to meet up with you guys soon.

I intend to be at the same place and the same seat if possible. I just hope my buddy comes because he was pissed when they turned off the Steelers game to put on big twelve basketball. he walked out and I eventually took off to meet him when he found a place that wasn't putting KU on every fucking TV.

At least this week KU plays at 1pm and the game SHOULD be over by kickoff.
