Yeah it is... I mean, think of all the times someone has said something along the lines of, "until the Chiefs win a playoff game, ___fill in the blank____" on this board.... The number is definitely in the tens of thousands.

I'm kinda in a funk to tell the truth... If this were five years ago, I'd be ecstatic but with all the bull shit I've been thru, I'm kinda meh.
I'm happy that they won but I'm cautiously optomistic I guess.

About what? Possibly winning a playoff game?

I was 8 when it happened last time. I wasn't a Chiefs fan yet. Friend moved up to PA from Missouri and it all went downhill from there. :) UNTIL NOW.

What a great feeling. I remember I was in the car going home from running errands w/ my mom listening to the Chiefs last playoff win on the radio...that was 1994 and I was 9 yrs old. Really hope this gets the monkey of the back of this organization and they can start winning some meaningful games in the post-season. Hell maybe the Royals mojo has rubbed off on this team, they haven't lost since their Truman Sports Complex neighbors won the WS. The hottest team is usually the one that makes a deep post-season run, and the Chiefs are the hottest team in the NFL right now. What a year for KC sports. Never thought I'd live long enough to see both the Royals and Chiefs be good at the same time.

Really sucks that Maclin is probably done, this team is desperately gonna need him moving forward. I guess Kelce, Wilson, Conley, and (sigh...) Avant are all gonna have to step up in Foxboro next week.

It's gonna be extremely tough to beat Brady in Foxboro...losing at home doesn't happen very often for Brady. Brady over his career is 91-17 (<--- damn that's just insane) as a starter in home games. And he's only lost 3x at home during the playoffs during that time ('09 Ravens, '10 Jets, and '12 Ravens). All 3 of those losses were to teams w/ really good defenses. The good news is that KC has a really good defense. Ultimately if the Chiefs can get to Brady and destroy him like they did at Arrowhead last season then the Chiefs have a chance of winning, esp if they can win the turnover battle. But again, Chiefs are playing Brady, not Brian Hoyer. Easier said than done. Defense needs to show up. I'm sure the Pats will be reminded of the epic spanking KC gave them a season ago. They'll have every reason to want to redeem themselves from last season's beatdown.

NE hasn't been playing well as of late. Hopefully they're still in a little funk, because the Chiefs are going to need all the help they can get. But this team has overcome adversity and have defied odds, and have been able to put together an impressive string of wins after starting just 1-5. Every game has been an elimination game w/ little to no margin of error and they've been able to overcome all of that without their best offensive player (Charles) and best defensive player (Houston) for a considerable amount of time and a bullshit patchwork Oline.

The internet in 1994:

there were just 10,000 websites and two million computers connected to the Internet -

Until the mid-'90s, the Internet was mostly used by scientists and scholars. Computers were becoming more commonplace at home, but they still used floppy disks (!) and required telephones to literally dial up a connection through America Online (AOL) or Compuserve. Sites had to tell users to "scroll down" and "click here" because, well, no one knew what they were doing.

Computers and their ability to connect to computers around the world via dial-up Internet changed that in 1993 -- slowly, at a max of 56 kbps (kilobits per second), a modem speed fast enough to download a single song in about 10 to 30 minutes.
