The Chiefs Offense or Defense on the field?

Next year, any given game, with 2:00 minutes left which unit would you prefer if the roster is the same (I know, it won't be) as this year?...

The D of course. It's always better to be up heading into the end of the game.

Pretty much sums it up.

It depends who were playing. I trust Alex to drive the team down to score one td, but some teams with good qbs will just be too much for our D to stop.

I fucked up. My bad. I thought you meant just a basic answer.....not Chiefs specific.

I ****ed up. My bad. I thought you meant just a basic answer.....not Chiefs specific.

The answer STILL has to be defense as long as we aren't playing against someone like Tom Brady.

Is Houston on the field at full strength?

I'm not sure the question makes sense. What's game on the line mean? If we're up by any amount 1 pt to 7 pts I want the offense to have the ball. If we're down by any amount the offense has to have the ball so we can score. If the game is tied we want the offense to have the ball to score.

I dont know so often our D is out of gas at the end. Our 3rd and long D always seems to suck and I know it probably just seems it. We cant seem to defend a Hail Mary.

So with 2:00 left and up by 3 pts people want the other team to have the ball? LOL That's priceless.

Defense as long as Alex Smith is the QB

This.

But obviously the intent of the question is, who do you have more faith in to pull it off. And obviously that's the defense. Chiefs can't run a two-minute offense for shit.

it's "would you rather be up and have the D on the field or be down and have the O on the field?"

That's not the question I read. I think maybe it could have been worded a little better. The answer to your question is defense because you always want the lead.

Yeah, it probably could have.

Yup, that was my answer.

I just have more faith in the defense to close out a game than in the offense to come back late.

I'd certainly prefer Doug Pederson to be calling the plays

Why not both!! If there's 2 minutes left and the offense is on the field, odds are the defense will be on the field in about 30 seconds, after a punt, and then we can watch them give up a first down. Worst of both worlds.

I don't trust either unit with the lead against a quality opponent, although I'd probably favor the defense's chances as opposed to our offense trying to eat clock when you actually want them to. Long drives only happen when we need to score fast and the opponent backs off. I don't see us ever consistently ending games with 4-minute offense. More like 3-and-out and hope the d can hold.

Probably give the same answer playing from behind. Better odds of our defense getting the ball back than the offense actually winning the game. But obviously behind or tied you want the ball and a chance to win, regardless of how little chance you think we have of moving the ball.

No, the question was 2 mins, not 6 mins.
