As a random observation, we have lots of conventions in my area, and you can always tell them because they're wearing lanyards with name tags.

I was walking down the street yesterday, and a woman was standing and talking. I always glance at their tag to see what convention is in town, but I get distracted by her last name. It was hard to read without staring, but I think was Hooboyer. I thought that was kind of cool.
