Trash truck took my truck out last January. I checked carfax on it last month and it wasn't listed. It did have over 10 other records ranging from services, tire replacement, and starter replacement. It seemed weird that a $10k repair wasn't listed.

I have recently found that this is often the case with carfax. There are a lot of incidents that you would want to know about that are not listed. A clean carfax is nowhere close to a guarantee that the car has been well kept and/or accident free.

I wouldn't trust carfax anymore. Mine was a pretty substantial repair that wasn't listed. It does run exactly like it did before the accident though.

Branded title is anything but a "clean" title.. so salvage, rebuilt, flood, lemon law, etc.

TBH having a branded title isn't always bad, especially lemon law cars. The majority of lemon law cars come of the state of california, where the laws are such that relatively minor problems can make a manufacturer buy back a car. In the case of a BMW though, all problems are costly, and as I have stated many times on CP, they are generally gigantic POSes and I would stay far away from a BMW lemon car.
