Wow, so the whole deal about Pederson calling plays from mid season or so might have been made up, and Reid actually... Adapted?

Mr. Laz

What reason would Reid have for tricking the Eagles? We didn't get a draft pick for Pederson.

If Pederson wasn't good enough then just fire him.

Yeah not buying it. The reports that Pederson was calling plays came out long before there was any chatter about the Eagles iirc.

Having two different guys calling plays at different phases of the game made no sense whatsoever.

So yeah. Reid was 100% responsible for the playcalling.

Oh fuck let's not turn this into a soap opera.

This is all on Pederson. If he can't resist putting his his dick where it should 't be he has to live with the consequences. Attaching Reid to some conspiracy of "tricking" the Eagles into hiring him is just lunacy. Andy Reid isn't a fucking advisor for the Eagles.

Reids Solution:
Likely end affair making his wife happy
Get a long term friend a huge job promotion and millions of dollars

Your solution:
Fire a long time friend
Have to come up with reason why you fired him

I'm not sure I'd say he tricked the Eagles necessarily as Pedersen might be a fine coach whether he's a man whore or not. Reid may not give a single fuck about Pedersen screwing around but apparently his wife did

It's a tough spot. I guess the win-win will be if Pederson turns out to be a good head coach. Nobody will care if that happens.

Why would reid put his reputation on the line and lie that a coach had an ability he did not? Yeah, he should be your HC, he called plays here, I back him as an honorable guy that you should hire?

No one would hire another of his guys after that if that is the case.

The only thing that would make sense is if he actually called the plays. Lying about it makes no sense.

Surprisingly enough, the secretary was dating Greg "The Real Deal" Hill at the time of the affair. :)

Reid wouldn't publicly throw Peterson under the bus...if he knew they were going to fire him over this in-house dilemma. It could cost him a future position. That seems consistent with how he operates...If this did actually happen, telling the Eagles brass he was banging his secretary would cost him his opportunity.

Sounds like Dorsey/Reid wanted to avoid the potential distraction and have Peterson land on his feet. I'm assuming they all got along...

Seems like it was just a good way to solve Pederson's pudding problem. They could have fired him and had a mess on their hands but its obviously better if he just goes away by choice.

Unfortunate for Pederson that he was exposed but he's not our problem anymore.

If this was my team I'd also fire the 26 year old secretary. There is no place for that $hit on a high profile business/team.

I was suprised that Pederson got a HC gig in the first place.
I have always thought his departure was a good thing for KC.

of course, but not at the risk of your current team

Reid allowing him more responsibility with the offense just to help him get another job is irresponsible. imo. If Pederson is bad then fire him, help him get another job but don't let him call plays just to give him a boost.
